ok so i got help from people about what mod chip to get like weeks ago and the answer was an openwii at lowcostmods.com. i was about to get that but the site just went down at that time. I waited a couple of weeks for the site to come back but NO!! now i'm sick of waiting so can someone recommend me some other mod chip that i don't need to build?

i did research on this for 2 weeks http://www.tcniso.net/Nav/Wiip/
is that good? ( i think its already built ) or is there something better ( thats built)

help please =]

Never mind I'm getting a wiikit because it looks SOOOO easy to do.

any tips you can give me on what to practice soldering with first before i do the real thing. ( i never solder anything

) or i can get my friend to do it for 20 bucks but i don't know if he will......

oh yea... is divineo a good place to buy the wiikit

thanksss

Yeah man, practice on an old soundcard or nic card if you have one lying around. But don't get in to your wii and start soldering unless you're 100% positive you can do it. $20 is much better than -$250.

Flux is always good for soldering.
Like Tomobobo said, try practicing first if your not 100% sure you can do it.

Try getting one of those practice solding kits from RAdioshack. I think they have some, or you can even just get the wires chips and other parts to mess with to make some horrid creation xD.

Im pretty sure theres some soldering kits out there though.

Oh ya,

These think geek itesm should help you out practice wise.
They range from ten to twenty bucks plus their fun.

Oh and again, yes, flux is darn good. It'll really help things out.
Just research in on wikipedia or something if your still not sure. Infact id suggest it, it should probbly give some usefull tips and a good use and history article on it.

Oh and im waiting for Wiip and other opensource chips. Once they get to a good level the other ones wont make anymore sense.
That and I wanna wait till my wii's warrenty is down.
This clicking DVD drive is starting to drive me nuts. So warrenty goood.

sorry but can you help me again =]

it seems divineo won't take my credit card and i tried many times but it wont get past the credit card / address screen . >=[

do you guys know any other places that sells a wiikit that accepts paypal (i think my credit card wont work T_T)

i search but all i found is this

http://goldcoastrs-modchips.com/index.php?...&products_id=54

if this is the only site ...then is it reiliable T_T

THANKSS!!!

ya know, i've been doing a lot of purchases using Paypal's new Virtual Debit card program.

It basically takes whatever balance is in your account and gives you numbers for a one-time use Mastercard. PERFECT for buying online, and should work just fine at Divineo. I'd say try there if you are having problems with your credit card.

Bought:
Wiikit, 15 w iron, .32 solder, flux, desolder braid, a pc board to practice on an i dont know why the hell i did cause it does nothing and solder can't even go on it xD i also bought some wires to practice on but there useless....

I started practicing on my ps1 controller. theres only like 2 points that you can practice on but it sucks T_T and so i threw it away.

anyways while practicing i noticed that my solder doesn't drip it just gets sucked onto the iron. how would i do Picture 3
