I couldn't find a post exactly like this one. I have been on 5.1 firmware booting into sxos fine. Today I decided to update to 6.2 through choidujourNX. I made a full nand backup before I did this. After, I updated to 6.2 successfully and sx os CFW won't load now. I updated sxos to 2.5.3 as well. I get the sx splash screen and i still have auto rcm enabled but after the sx splash it seems to load into normal firmware even when i hit load cfw in the sx menu.
Should I restore my nand and do something differently?

thanks

I don't know why it boots into normal firmware with auto rcm enabled but thats whats going on. I checked in the hekate menu and my 8th fuse is burnt as added info

I'd test your sd card for errors (back it up, use something like h2testw to check it's all good, then paste over and try again).

thanks for the reply, everything looks good. SXos cfw just wont boot on my 6.2 firmware. Anyone know why?

I think im going to restore my nand according to this post and try updating again is that a good idea?

  • Restore your clean 4.1 NAND backup
  • Boot using Hekate's "stock" option, which skips the fuse check (Personally, I'd just boot Hekate without the SD card inserted, to be 100% sure I don't have a "dirty" Nintendo folder)
  • I'd then update using an "official" method (either directly to 6.0 using OFW update, or to 5.1 using an actual cartridge). Because ChoiDujourNX needs CFW and HB Loader, I personally don't want to use those when making my "clean" NAND backup
  • Then make a new NAND backup after updating
EDIT: Ninja'd :ninja: :gun: @xabier :P

update: when i updated through choidujourNX to 6.2 somehow my sd cart got formatted to exfat causing CFW not to load. I must have chosen a wrong option when updating. If anyone has this issue check your sd card format.

interesting to note this caused me to burn a fuse even with auto rcm enabled you can burn a fuse like this if you try to boot into CFW because it will fail and default to OFW.
