Help Formatting drive

So im wanting to format my entire drive OS and everything and reinstall my OS some things to know not sure if they matter or not but the computer is duel booting windows and Ubuntu but windows wont boot for unknown reasons since installing ubuntu I do have other computers running windows if needed I just want to know whats the best way

Sounds like when you installed Ubuntu, you overwrote the boot sector (probably with GRUB - I’m not too familiar with Linux).

If you want to reinstall Windows, you just need to put a Windows install media (USB or DVD) in and run it, then run Custom Install and format your Windows partition.

A better option might be trying to repair the boot sector, although I don’t remember the exact method off the top of my head. EasyBCD or Grub Customizer or something like that.

thought so its just strange used the exact same install method on a laptop and it works fine only difference is its an HP
