Hi
Posting here because i've tried 50 different things and nothing seems to be working.
I bought a HAC-001 switch off ebay for my sisters birthday a month ago
Installed atmosphere etc
It was working fine when I was setting it all up
Last week she opened it to find that there was only 'failed to init sd card' errors.

- I've ensured that the sd card is in the correct format
- Tried the sd card in my own switch and it was working fine
- Tried my own sd card in her switch
- Replaced the sd card reader (twice)
- Checked the pins on motherboard for the reader - they look good to me (see pic)

I'm unsure where to go next to try and fix the issue

I'm considering first buying a new battery and replacing that but wanted to check if anyone else had any ideas
there's also the option of buying a completely new motherboard but that looks expensive and i'm struggling to see any online

Hope one of you lovely people have a solution :)
Thanks.

Use a multimeter to test the connection on the board, if you got a short some where then it won't work.
cool, dont have one lying around atm but will get one.

if there is a short somewhere does that mean a mobo replacement is needed?
i've seen some people soldering wires straight from the connectors to the sd reader, is that what might be needed?

Yea you have few options either solder a wire from point a (motherboard) to point b (sd card flex) if there is a short on the fpc connector. You can find replacement of the SD connector fpc on ebay.
