Recently got a broken snes from eBay that was described as won’t load games. When I got the unit it wouldn’t power on. The power adapter was damaged so I repaired it. It now powers on but has very distorted graphics. Even fxpak pro menu will not display properly. I did manage to wiggle my way through and get it to load the burn in test rom but the menus are gibberish, the test does run but unable to read any results. I’m curious if anyone has encountered this and determined if it was the cpu or one of the ppus at fault. Attached are images of super Metroid and the menu of the fxpak pro.

Try replacing the cartridge slot with one you know works before doing all of that.

Also, make sure that power adapter isn't a knock-off and outputting proper voltage and amperage (should be slightly higher than rated while not plugged in due to no load.) (Even then, there's still a chance it's dipping while in operation.)

Should have mentioned that I did try swapping the cart slot with my working sfc and the issue remains. The power adapter is genuine and I get between 12-14v when measured.
