Hacking Help changing cfw

Hi all

I have an o3ds 9.2 that uses hbl to boot gateway. I am looking to change to luma 3ds cfw and a9hl to play GBA games as well as 3ds games.

I've seem loads of different guides but nothing coming from hbl and gateway. Can someone point me in the right direction for a9hl and luma

Hi i have gotten to part 3 step 28 but everytime i try to update rednand it give me an error. anything i should be doing different

Just carry on for now without updating it, it'll be ok either way you can just update when you've got the last set up to go

Hi, I've been in your shoes, not literally, unless you're a size 10. Long story short I tried to update rednand the first time and it kept on failing, you can continue with the guide but it's like a relationship, if it's failing now it will fail later. To get it working you got to format the SD, and start again, the second time I created rednand it was able to update. Make sure when you format you have a clean card, in other words that rednand partition needs to be gone.

Do you have tubehax or updates blocked in your router? That would cause an error.

Also, if you were using .3DS/.3DZ ROMs, you'll need to use this workaround to get the saves into cia format: https://gbatemp.net/threads/tutoria...v-to-eshop-3ds-3dz-with-savedatafiler.380246/
You can do that after setting up A9LH but then you'll need a <=9.2 emuNAND (if you're using updated sysNAND) to boot into GW mode. Best do it before you install A9LH, or at least before you update your sysNAND if you're planning on using sysNAND only.

Got it sorted thanks for the help. Just continued on after the update failed and it updated later on no problem

Is there anyway to play .3ds files on cfw or do they have to be .cia. I converted and played as cia last night but it takes ages to get the xorpads lol.

use ciangel before nintendo figures out how to stop it

Looks good think I'll use that. As for Pokemon hacks can u build straight to cia or is there any easier way to get from 3ds to cia
