Nope, none of them had OOT or cubic ninja. Had every other Zelda game tho lol.
My browser version is 1.7498

I'll keep trying browserhax (sliderhax) for awhile.

So my only option is using a game exploit (ninjahax / OOThax)?

If I ran a system update, would It automatically take me to ver: 10.6? or take me to another firmware, then tell me to update again?

if it is a dummy browser, then it would just pop up a message saying that you have to update your 3ds before using the browser. If you can access the browser now, then you don't have a dummy browser.

EDIT: also, even if the browser was updated to 9.8 with a game cartridge, there is no dummy browser installed, because the dummy browsers are only added with 9.9 game cartridge updates onward.

Just keep at it with browserhax.

Alright, thanks. I'll keep trying browserhax.

Sorry for all of these questions. I'm actually excited people are trying to help me get this going and giving me the information I need.

Should've just bought a Sky3DS+. Since I really just wanna' play backed up games.

he could download the payloads for its version. in the "smea" page there's a "select version payload" and access to hax (?

10.6 patched the browserhax and menuhax entrypoints. Only OoThax and Ninjhax works on that FW. Also, his goal is to play "backed up" games, which requires a 9.2 FW or lower 3ds. You can currently only downgrade to 9.2 if the FW is below 10.3

I tried downloading a payload. I entered my version info, and it gave me 'POST5_U_19456_9221.bin'. Placed that on the root of my SD card, and tried using browserhax and got the same results.

Should I download with otherapp or ropbin? Also, are you talking about a 9.8.0-9u or 4.2.0-9U payload download? Since I can only select up to 9.+ on http://smealum.github.io/3ds// Doesn't have an option for 4.x

Yeah my goal is to downgrade to 9.2 and setup a emuNAND with the latest firmware, and install .CIA files.

He is on 9.8 bla bla bla 9U

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

Sorry but sliderhax works only on X.X.X-16 to 30 (no 9u :c)

So if I find and buy a copy of OOT, I can use another 3DS with homebrew / menuhax already installed, and run 'sploit_installer-oot3dhax' on that game cartridge, then I can use that on this 3DS XL with the 9.8 to launch homebrew and setup menuhax from that? Then downgrade to 9.2 and setup an emuNAND and install .CIA files and all that stuff?

I've had the same problem on 9.2.0-9U and I fixed it by updating the browser with a .cia on sysnand (RXTools 2.5/2.6 devmode). But I don't know if you can do that on 9.8 :(

No way of doing that without access to the homebrew launcher, huh?
