Short story, the machine only show black screen. Has Luma, tried holding A before power on, no luck. Same while holding start(hourglass) or down(D9WIP). Any more thing I can try before doing a hard mod?

Long story, was on 9.2, used D9WIP to dump ticket.db from sysNAND, used FBI on sysNAND to copy the whole title folder. Ran ctrnand-title-cia-gen as suggested by D9WIP to gen all system installed cias. Kept them as 9.2 cias for downgrading use. Upped sysNAND to 11.2, then installed back all those 9.2 cias, thought that can downgrade back to 9.2. Now machine just shows black screen...

I felt dumb but wasn't that how you downgrade?

Nope, you done goofed mate.
WTH? Not even hard mod?

you have a nand dump right? so you can send to someone and they can hardmod for you? i hope so!

mom's @Posghetti
Yes I have clean NAND dump from 9.2. I think I can hard mod myself, did that on old 3DS before. Is new 3DS any more difficult?

not too sure, but it i doubt it could be much harder.
if you could manage it for old 3ds, you could do it for n3ds, it won't be so different, skill wise.

Is it possiblie your SD card is just defective? Happened to one of my 3DS...
Thanks. It's less likely because it was working fine before I installed those cias, but worth a try.

there is a way to open a nand restore app jut by touching the power button
Really? Pray tell!

I thought bricked consoles showed Blue screen not black ...
Like Uwabami said might be a defective SD

Good luck!
Edit:
Why did you upgrade then downgrade again to 9.x?
If you had stock 9.x FW you dont need to downgrade!

Yes, you can put Hourglass9's bin file in the root of your SD card and name it arm9loaderhax.bin. Then the console will automatically boot into it.
I don't know about that tactic, learned something new everyday, btw.
OP, have you ever tried booting a bricked A9LH system with that renamed Hourglass9.bin as A9LH.bin trick?

It's possible, if and only if your firm partition is still untouched even after you do the silly thing you mentioned. (Which is unlikely……)

iirc, normal upgrade or downgrade will overwrite the firm partition. If you restore all the system titles duh……… no more a9lh

Yea, I thought FIRM and title.db are different parts, learned the hard way that installing CIA would affect FIRM as well...
