Hacking Help and Info regarding the R4i Gold Upgrade Revolution for DS V1.4 and DSI XL firmware 1.4.3.E

Hi

I have recently received from a family member a Nintendo DSI XL for my young lad to use.
I have also posted this topic elsewhere in search of help and info.
I understand this topic may be way outdated, but I would just like to inquire, out of curiosity,
as to if it is at all possible to get this card working with the DSI XL again.
The problem is, the Nintendo DSI XL has firmware version 1.4.3.E installed on it
and the card that has come with the DSI XL, is an "R4i Gold Upgrade Revolution for DS V1.4".
On the box is the web address, "R4I-GOLD.COM", which does not seem to exist.
The card also has "R4I - GOLD 2" printed just above the gold coloured connectors on the reverse
of the card.
The card is a yellow colour with a black sticker on the front with the "V1.4" in a green star
and all the writing is in a gold colour.
So basically, is their any possibility that this card: "R4i Gold Upgrade Revolution for DS V1.4"
will work with the DSI XL firmware version "1.4.3.E".
Is it possible to update or upgrade the card so as to work on the "1.4.3.E" firmware.
If so I would be very grateful if anybody could point me in the right direction to resolve the problem
and get the card working again.
Any further help or information would be greatly appreciated.

According to http://wiki.gbatemp.net/wiki/Ultimate_Flashcart_Download_Index#R4i_Gold_.28r4i-gold.com.29, it's a clone of a DSTTi, so checking up on that card might yield results
