Hello all, I am returning to GBAtemp after years of inactivity. I lost access to my old account/email that I had linked to GBAtemp and couldn't even find my old username anyway. I used to play lots of GBA games and left it all collecting dust in an old shoebox. I finally did some deep cleaning and found all my old GBA flashcarts X-Rom 512mb and EZFlash carts. I had to re-solder in some new coin batteries and did some modified battery tabs that I'm not the most proud of but they worked.
Anyway, I purchased a GBFlash by GeekSimon off AliExpress to see if I could get the X-Rom to work with it and so far no luck so I was able to dig up the old X-Rom blue cable linker! I managed to do a fair amount of internet digging and found my way back to GBAtemp and found some drivers/software and of course... Pogoshell! I'm hoping that I can get some help with getting X-Rom to work with GBFlash but I might have better luck with loading up VMware as I read in some other comments or just setting up a new cart.
It has been a lot of fun setting this stuff up again and using these old carts are probably more than enough. I just wanted to say thanks to everyone who has posted on this forum in the past and continues to post any morsel of knowledge they have to help anyone that is going on their retro journey.
