Hello everyone,

I'm a LLLLLLlllllllllllLLLLLOOOOOOOOooooooOOOOOOooooonnnnnNNNNNNNnnnnnggggggGGGGGggggg lurker. I've been browsing around this site for ages. Perhaps even decades, already. :toot: However, it never occurred to me until now, the idea to actually make a forum account on here and post and be active in discussions. Well, it's better late, as opposed to never, I suppose. ;)

Anyways, I've pretty much always been a fan of the GBA :sp: :gba: (Game Boy Advance) and gaming in general. Technically, I started off on GBC (Game Boy Color), N64 (Nintendo 64), and PC (Personal Computer). Regardless, I have a passion and interest for gaming as well as the associated modding and/or jailbreaking of devices and/or systems. I've been jailbreaking and taking advantage of the full strength of all my devices ever since I had an iPod Touch 2nd gen, in 2008. Or perhaps I should count owning a GameShark and hacking Pokémon Emerald version even earlier than that? :rofl2:

Software modding is very easy and fun, however, I've recently attempted to learn soldering in order to advance even further, into hardware modding, as well. I hope to eventually IPS panel mod a PSP (PlayStation Portable) at the very least, if not anything more. However, at present, I'm still learning on practice kits I got off Amazon.com. B-)

As for what I play, in today's age, I'm playing everything, new and old. I'm playing the all-new systems and games (such as Xbox Series and PS5 [PlayStation 5]) as well as still discovering old retro stuff I never experienced before and is therefore a "new" experience to me, mobile app games, and literally everything in-between. I love FPS (first person shooters :gun:), ARPGs (action role-playing games), as well as Zelda-like action/adventure games (oftentimes with role-playing elements) above everything. I also love platformers (2D, 2.5D, and 3D) as well as Metroidvanias. My favorite series are probably Call of Duty and The Legend of Zelda, in order to give an idea. I'm disappointed that our hobby is becoming increasingly expensive. I hope this is a merely temporary and reversible trend.

Anyways, I hope that I'm able to contribute as much as possible on this site. If anyone has any questions, please ask them in the appropriate space, underneath this. :discuss:

Thank you,

Ahh, shucks. Why aren't you reading it? You really should. I suggest it, at least.

I've been browsing the site for over a decade finding very useful resources for 3DS modding before I ever created an account on there.

Yep, same here, too! Each time I pick up a console second-hand I immediately go straight into modifying it to my needs. Every console and device I have is jailbroken in every way, shape, or form. Hack the planet, as they say. :D

Congratulations on your first attempt. Doesn't matter if your work isn't as good as your expectations, but the more you practice you'll get better. I was exactly in the same place many years ago; burnt myself on the iron too many times and trashed one or more projects that weren't as perfect as I needed it to, but I have improved since then. Need any help with soldering let me know as I could teach you some neat soldering techniques.

If you ever heard of DankPods, go give him a watch. His videos are all about modding iPods and showcasing cheap MP3 players if that's your cup of tea. :grog:
