Hacking Question Hekate clearing ini file

For some reason I cannot fathom I can boot into Hekate but it clears my Nyx and Hekate ini files making them blank. Even using the usb tool and overriding the one on my sd with my backup only works long enough to open the Launch menu and select one, which fails to launch. Reloading into Hekate and it requires Nyx time setup and has a blank Hekate ini file again. I have no idea what the hell is going on. Further more when I try creating an emunand it "creates" one but then the emunand doesn't work saying it's invalid. They both worked previously so I have no idea what the hell is going on. Any help would be appreciated.
I'm using the Hekate 5.5 version.

In Hekate in the tools menu there's a tool that lets you connect your Switch to your PC via USB cable and access the SD Card.

check your sd card, might be formatted firstly. then try to check desktop and card adapter.
i don't think Hekate has any compatilbe problem with unpatched switch. it's an excellent custom bootloder.

i didn't use this function, i used hekate to connect my laptop transfer data

But if you use Hekate to format the SD card, obviously it will delete the .ini file

I got it working. Apparently my SD was damaged.
