Would it be possible to have an hdmi port connected to a ribbon cable connected to a 3ds instead of the screen. Has anyone tried and hdmi out on the 3ds not talking about capture cards.

There's programs where you can connect your 3DS to your computer screen through a local network. If you have hdmi on your computer that would be the easiest method of getting 3DS on your TV.
