Also for me some problem with icons.

I can see only the icon of Homebrew Browser.

EDIT:
I just tried it with AHBPROT... No dice, gives error 1017 if you try to install anything.
I try to install some minor version of IOS and cIOS using IOS58 and AHBPROT enabled but I don't get any error.

Hmm, come to think of it, normal IOS's were also programmed to refuse to downgrade an IOS but I kinda think the ones that had AHBPROT patched out didn't have that problem since they were bypassing the IOS completely. Has anyone actually tried to confirm this?
"the ones that had AHBPROT patched out" - I'm not completely sure what you mean by this statement. AHBPROT was not patched out of any IOS. AHBPROT was disabled by HBC, and then homebrew was run. If you mean IOS that had been run-time patched, using AHBPROT, then yes the patches done to the IOS generally included one to allow IOS downgrading. (NAND permissions patch, maybe? can't remember off the top of my head).

And yes, crediar has said that all vIOS are hard coded to reject installation of any IOS or SM.

Even if it does work, though, I understand vWii actually has it's IOS installed in a different folder in NAND so maybe the current WAD install would just end up in a folder that would be ignored by vWii anyhow. That, at least, would be changeable by editing the WAD file IIRC.
Irrelevant, seeing as it doesn't work.

crediar has also said that even if you do manage to install, current cIOS doesn't work anyway.

I don't see where you found that twilight hack was working on vWii.
vWii is the last column, and it's marked as No.
other columns are there for references from Wii console (and doesn't even include which system menu version).

Woops, guess I read the chart wrong. I just saw the US column as yes and thought it was working because I was already on wiiubrew.org. My mistake lol.

''icon.png'' must be all LOWERCASE
icon are lower case but me (and other user) can't see them.

Another user (who had a WII 3.4E with HBC 1.1.0 on IOS58) tell me a problem after installing HBC 1.1.1 (never had this problem):
- the video is shaking (sorry, I don't know the exactly word for say that) and he can't select anything.

EDIT:
probably the problem is caused because hbc 1.1.1 don't support PAL 50 HZ.
But now I can't verify that.

i was one of those that had problems with 1.1.0.
no icons.(not even homebrew browser.). there was also no txt. (the delete an start button.). also my hbc theme wouldn't load. i was stuck with the default theme.
also when trying to do nand dumps, mine would freeze.( around page 73/75.) that's close to half way done. 1.0.6 hasn't failed at any thing. so i'll stay here.

The problem is that if someone wan to install hbc, must use v1.1 (on bootmii.org I don't find older version)

EDIT:
sorry I seen that only now:

Thanks for the reports. So far we found two bugs that snuk in due to updated libraries:
1) Screens set to PAL 50Hz (576i) are broken
2) Some icons won’t show up
Both will be fixed shorty, sorry :\

RE-EDIT:
Hackmii Installer v1.2
PAL 50Hz (576i) video mode now works properly
BootMii/boot2 can be installed again on newer Wiis
Icons load again in The Homebrew Channel

TT rock!!!

Thanks for the info and thanks TT for fixing it quicky.

@randomizer:
yes, Tales of symphonia is working

Excellent. I know I have a copy of that at my apartment since I can't seem to find the Brawl disc. I doubt USB loading will ever be implemented for several reasons, a lack of a vulnerable iOS being one of them.

There's already vulnerable IOS ;)
But current IOS/cIOS are not working on vWii. vIOS will probably need to be used to make vcIOSes.

1. iOS =/= IOS
2. There are vulnerable IOS are present in vWii, hence HBC can be installed. No further IOS exploit is necessary once HBC is installed, everything that could be done with an IOS exploit can be done with AHBPROT.

What do we install HBC as on the install screen (of the two options)?

I meant USB loading, but that's not feasible, nor do I think Team Twiizers will ever want to support that feature or look into it. If we can get that to work, I won't have to keep switching back and forth to the Wii (my TV has a limited no. of inputs). I might need to dump the NAND first if I transfer system files over. Speaking of which, what happens to those hacked Wii systems when you do the transfer?

USB access (not USB loading such as redirecting disc to another device) is useful without warez, for example WiiMC.
But I think AHBPROT (hardware access option in HBC meta.xml) is enough to allow that now :)

Edit:
Making a console transfer check on eShop what you bought, and delete them on your Wii.
Then these titles are activated on WiiU's vWII and downloaded again. (not transfered by SD card).

SD card only contains data such as Mii/saves

I thought it crashes the Wii U when you try to install it on AHBPROT and use it...? It would be nice to load games without having to use discs (which would equate to more wear and tear on the DVD/Blu-ray drive).

what do you mean install?
You don't need to install anything to get hardware access now that HBC can be installed.
HBC is still running on IOS58? that IOS has USB access and provide the same access to homebrew launched with the correct tag in the meta.xml

What you think is probably installing cIOS, they can be installed (you can't do it yourself for the moment, there's no easy methods) but you can't load them. but most homebrew which require USB access don't require cIOS, only IOS58 which has native USB2.0 access (other IOSes have native USB1.1).
