Hacking HBC and WiiHome Error???

Ok this is really starting to do my nut in! I have Preloader 0.28 installed with various hacks (nothing unusual).

- can't load HBC from preloader menu - it starts to boot but screen freezes/glitches

Installed WiiHome dol today. When I try to boot that up also crashes/glitches

HOWEVER this is where its weird. If I let the Wii start up and go to the system menu and then press/hold reset going back to preloader it will allow me to boot either.

There has to be somone who knows how to fix this??????
