Well, i did some searching, probably answered somewhere but i couldnt find after like 40 minutes of searching so i'll just ask. I got my wii modded forever ago with a D2Ckey, and about november 2008 there were no games afterward that i wanted so my wii just collected dust in my closet. I wanna play brawl(a legit copy) online with a friend and maybe download a few games. Is there a problem with updating, like will any of the updates brick me?

updates wont brick you, unless you are stupid enough to update in a thunderstorm

or if you were stupid enough to downgrade from 4.0/4.1 to 3.2, then update to 3.4

There are no issues at all. Running a modchip will mean that firmware and IOS are not relevant to you are able to play on the highest firmware with no issues.

well i doubted it but i just wanted to verify that they havent made an update that can detect chips yet, thanks for the info
