I've been trying to get DSLinux to work for forever and I just can't get it to work.
I just keep on getting a black screen.

I'm using the "R4i RTS 3DS Revolution for DS" (this one) and my system is the DSi and 3DS.

If anyone's managed to get it to work, please tell me how you did it.

Yes I managed to get it to work though I cant remember exactly how. Though I hate to tell you but it is rather pointless as it doesnt do much of anything.

DSTT /w 16GB Class 6 Card + EZ 3in1 was in use if that is any help

Control the toaster oven!

Have you got the files in the correct lay out some DS homebrew freaks out of it is not just the way it wants. Also ask remember it takes a while so make sure you are giving it enough time to start up

How long is "awhile"? I waited 2 minutes and the screen is still black.
For files, I put the "linux" folder in root and I put the "dslinux.nds" file in root also.

Honestly, it's useless without a Slot-2 RAM expansion, which you can't use on a DSi or 3DS. Most of the apps crash, since there isn't enough memory (the DS can't use swap space), you can't use a GUI, and you can't even connect to the Internet.

I was hoping to use more text-based applications.
I know I won't be able to run a lot, but I sort of just wanted to get something to run.
I want to at least get it to boot up.
