Cool have you found a way already to have different backgrounds in different folders?
Yes I can add different backgrounds and skin for different folder, modification of the skin and backgrounds runs when the folder is opened.. The problem, I have to restart the Nes Mini to update the change.

Normal and harmless. If C7, then you would possibly have memory conflict.

Operating system?
Windows 10. Now that you mention it, W10 took a long update about 2 weeks ago. I wonder if that applies to my problem somehow.

Also, sorry I took so long to reply, I've been very busy.

Is there a way you can reset the controller settings? This would be for the built in RA controller.

I recently tried an 8bitdo controller and receiver and when I was trying to map the buttons I accidentally
mapped it so I cannot get into the RA menu to change it anymore.

I believe the issue was needing the correct firmware release 0 (for the 8bitdo receiver) or something to that effect. Am I stuck having to
dump everything on this NES and start from scratch?

that happened to me. Not with a 8bitdo, though. I had accidentally mapped multiple actions to the same button and couldn't change anything. I ended up having to uninstall Retroarch and then reinstall it. Then, when I changed the mappings, I made sure I was REALLY careful to get it right.

Thanks for the comment. I had 2.13e on there.. (ran flawless).. but have just reset it all back to stock (uninstalled mods/flashed OG kernel/reset NES back to factory) and
am about to install 2.17b.

I'm going to reinstall everything.. but I do have another question. I have a perfectly setup folder of games from my 2.13e install.. can I simply copy
those games over to 2.17b? Or is it best practice to go through the entire compression setup on the new version of 2.17b?

If you have lets say 290mb on 2.13 then on 2.17 it will say you have 310mb with the same setup. It's why I'm still on 2.14b

I have my entire 2.13e setup backed up.. I have nothing to lose. My backups are secure.

2.13e got boring.. I can't waste anymore time FEL'ing it up for hours upon end..

FASTER TRANSFER RATE >

2.14b is fast too bro. No need to go above it.

I disagree bro, I wanted to try save states. I think that's huge since u can reset to factory, yet still keep all that precious
game play. I literally have nothing to lose.. I can always go back to my old setup.. but I'm tired of everyone complaining
about this new version.

As a developer, if I have any issues I can try to help Cluster out and advance this thing forward.

I've never moved a folder over to a newer version, but it should be possible. I haven't compressed anything, so I can't speak to that....

Has anyone tried 8bitdo receiver + the Zero controller? It's the cheapest controller that the company offer, I wonder if it's also compatible with NESCE, considering that some of people use the NES30, SNES30, and that gold famicom one.

As far as I know it is compatible. I have been looking into it when I couldn't get my hands on a second NES CE controller.
It is compatible even with the Nintendo Switch.
