Thanks bro. Okay, that did the trick, but now I got errors when changing the sides.
I got A B SIDE ERR 07 and DISK SIDE ERR 01.
Edit:
After pressing A a few times and waiting, the game loaded. No clue why it was so finicky.

It doesn't mean Jack shit just because a commit is made. Please just stop if you can't answer.
you sounds like a clown during a funeral

who cares about the number of sold units?
hacking a hardware is not jus because of, "oh, it has many sales, let's do something", it's because of, "oh it looks easy to hack, what ca we accomplish?" even if it has only one unit sold

and even if cluster abandon his project, internet is here to continue, like they did with the first famicom hack

Never heard of that analogy before. I guess clowns at funerals would be appropriate to help lighten the mood, given they hold their act after the service.

I have noticed Kirby's Dreamland 3 doesn't run very well, i wonder if there is an issue with games like this which make use of the "pseudo high-resolution" SNES feature? To the best of my knowledge, i have the latest retroarch / SNES installed, in conjunction with 2.15.
Does anyone know anything about this? It could of course have nothing to do with this feature.
I also understand that the game cartridge makes use of something termed Sa-1 to process game data at a faster rate. Any ideas anyone?
Try the snes9x2005 core instead

1: snes2005 core works well with kirbys dreamland.
2: best controller, is imho a retro reciever with wii u pro controller. wireless lag free gaming. With al the button you need!

Exactly..they do it cause they can! Luxury with Beauty! heh............

I had setup to use the "Select" button as the "C" button on my NES controller for Sega games. Seemed to work ok, though a lil different. Right now, I have a Wii classic knockoff and use Y, B, A for A, B, C. Works like a dream!

Did you have to map those buttons on the Wii classic controller or is that how they worked when you plugged it in? I have a Wii classic controller, but as of yet have only been playing SNES games with it. I think I'd like to take a run at loading some Sega games.

Play the metal slugs...fba works the best..awesome games..have the blood enabled, and check out the bootlegs of them..

Have Wii Pro Controllers..everything works..

I'm not trying to be rude, but I've been asking this for months and all answers amount to the same unhelpful comments. Like yours just now, if you actually paid attention to what I said, you would already know that that command line is already automatically inputted, and it isn't working.

Thank you, I'll try that. How exactly do I map it though? Is it in the retroarch menu somewhere?

You spent months asking for help to get it working? I got it working, just by going into retroarch options, input, and binding key for flip disk. I am thoroughly surprised it took this long for you to have someone find a solution. I find solutions very fast. I can definitely understand your frustration, though. You have had many bearers of bad news, or unworking methods. But, I was not aware of this, since I had JUST seen your post for the first time. So, I had no clue you have been at this for months. When someone has an issue, I offer a suggestion or workaround. Then, I find the solution.

Yep.

This is what I did. You probably know most of these steps but I included them all in case someone else comes along with less knowledge.

1. Start game then hit select + start to pull up the retroarch menu
2. Click on Quick Menu
3. Scroll down and click controls
4. Scroll down to (FDS) Disk Side Change then use D pad to change until you see A Button (right)
5. Scroll to next one that says (FDS) Eject Disk and change to A Button (right)
6. Scroll up to Save Core Remap File and click it (I'm not sure which button does the actual saving since there is no confirmation so I hit them all once)
7. Hit the back button to go back to Quick Menu, scroll down and select Save Core Overrides to save it
8. The click on restart or if that doesn't work click on resume then use the down + select to exit game then restart as normal

Can anyone with a V2 NES CLASSIC box confirm it's still hackable???

Im testing now and it isnt looking good. It lets you dump the kernel and flash the custom kernel but it isnt loading games. Hoping its something I am doing wrong.

I have done this almost 100 times. So I am thinking its something else.

EDIT:

So I tested 2.16 and 2.15. Wouldnt load the games.

Luckily 2.14b works. I was afraid we would have to go back to loading in FEL mode again.

@Cluster. Let me know if I can help with debug logs or anything.

To Famicom Mini owners who want their menus in english, you can download this hmod file to convert your menu from Japanese to English.

Download here: http://www88.zippyshare.com/v/EssNI1Id/file.html

Sorry took me awhile to upload, as I had to test the hmod throughly as well via my Famicom Mini and a friend's Famicom Mini to ensure its working properly. Thankfully, no errors so far. Also, I'd like to point out that I am NOT the author of this mod. I merely tested it (since the original mod author doesn't have a physical Famicom Mini to test the mod), and helping him distribute his work. Tested to be working on hakchi2 v2.16. Simply copy the hmod file on your hakchi2's "user_mods" folder, and install the mod via hakchi2 after flashing custom kernel. After installing the mod, your Famicom Mini's menu should be in english just like in the video below:

Hopefully, this mod becomes a built-in feature on the next Hakchi2 update. :D

When I update to newer versions of Hakchi2 all my 580 games are unselected in the gamelist, do I have to select the games one by one again or can I select all games at once?
