Well, even with the file NeoPolak uploaded my nes still reboots on its own after it says wait for the LED to turn off.

did you flash the custom kernel from a working nes or from a rebooting one?

now i have the opposite problem, flashing original kernel doesn't delete games, even factory reset

if it doesn't work try to do it from the beginning
place kernel in dump folder
flash original - check if the nes is working
then flash the custom one
then add games

flash original - reboots when complete
flash custom - reboots when complete
add games - you guessed it...

For what it's worth, I'm getting an MD5sum of ac8144c3ea4ab32e017648ee80bdc230 for the kernel image on my Famicom Mini.

same thing, even on a windows 8 pc with all antivirus shut off, flashed orginal, then flashed custom, then add games same @@@@ thing.the dumb thing restart normal,i think im done this is fing dumb i flashed 3 3ds with less issues

I flashed my nes as original, dumped kernel, replaced my kernel with yours. I then did flash custom kernel and proceeded to add games and it still reboots on its own.

if it helps any my original dumps md5 is 07bfb800beba6ef619c29990d14b5158

some have to have different chip sets

also guys how frustrating is it to have people asking for snes games when half of us can not even get one nes game to upload
On the bright side, I've flashed this multiple times and it just seems to work regardless, that's gotta be a positive, right? :rofl2::grog::toot:

well, sorry for the false hope guys :(

i just tried it again from scratch
i put the 2.69mb in dump file
i flashed the original kernel => nes worked
then flashed custom kernel => boot loop

Then replaced the 2.69mb kernel file by the 2.86 one
then flashed the custom kernel => nes is working and i can add games

maybe there is a 3rd kernel file size..

Someone needs to make a thread about the LED problem. Tired of some people asking about snes and people bragging about getting it to work the first time.

Run everything from my folder to protect your original kernal dump.

I still have not idea about LED problem :( Maybe try to do factory reset? Can somebody with this problem use UART cable?

I initially had the LED problem. The entire sequence would complete and once the games uploaded the NES Mini would power on automatically. The LED never went out.

My FIX was to:
Boot Windows 7, press F8 and disable driver signature checks and boot PC.
Then disable Windows Defender, the firewall and anti-virus off.

Sadly, Im on win 10, disabled windows defender and advanced firewall. I even have driver signature check disabled and still no luck.

I've been trying all the possible ways to mod this and no luck, same "LED on" problem.

I did see a post on reddit saying that it's possible that there are different chipsets for the NES's, meaning that some systems are "unsoft-moddabe" with the tools available.

it all depends on your dump file so it depends on the nes you have, some got lucky (first try) others don't (like me, i used someone else dump)

if it can help my model is clv-001
and what i guess is serial : cee100039801
made in china but with something from germany
