I don't understand a thing you are saying here. If someone could create a video tutorial that would be lovely.
If the guys that clone and mantain the Hachi2 repo got some time in their roadmap, probably they will add a batch script to do this, is not complicate, but u need to know what ure doing, be familiar with the code, procedures, etc. So u can pull it very quick instead of get familiar with it from ground zero.

Its maturing very fast, who knows the priorities they got for the project, whatever they are is a lot of sophisticated work for free, so from a fellow programmer point of view, Thank you guys, @Cluster and family, A LOT!!!

hey thats awesome PCM! Is that only NES games won't work for SNES/Sega stuff? Will this also help us bypass the limit of roms we can hold in liberto rom folder since its seems be around 26 MB. ?

because ''4. That's it. Repeat the steps for every other NES game you want to launch with fceumm instead of kachikachi.''

threw me off.

Also and if this does allow us add more does this mean we can use folder system again as long as retroarch CL folder is in home page of nes mini?

Actually, no. If you provide empty .nes, .desktop files and some artwork (just like I did with RetroArch), you can load any other core too. In the …RARCH/bin folder, you'll find retroarch-[snes, md, gb, a26] files. Use this instead of retroarch-nes in the .desktop-temp file and change the ROM file path to your rom, and it should work. I haven't tested it though, so I can't guarantee.

No, nothing has changed in that regard.

Well, wait for someone to throw together a batch file.

You could use folders before with the Hakchi2 that has custom folder support.
The games you load with RetroArch, of course, must be in home page too

I wonder, if filesize is the main limit to adding cores to retroarch, couldn't we simply add multiple retroarch copies, each with different cores, in order to get most of them in there without reaching the filesize limit?

The main problem is the size the retroarch folder grows to when you put roms inside it. Since changing the exec lines in the .desktop files lets you launch roms in the frontend in other folders, just stop putting roms inside the retroarch folder.

some of the cores are quite large also though.

Hi guys,
Could someone send me a pm with a version compiled from github so I can test and report?
Thanks

I would really like to have that too, or at least some information on how I can compile the latest source myself.
I've spent about two hours matching my 705 games list with art from RetroKenesis and it's ready to be flashed on my Mini again but I would really love to have the new folder structure options!
Thank you!

None of my roms seem to work, but i saw that @nesito did run it...but how

All this retroarch stuff for the NES classic mini is just wrong imo. The NES mini should be just NES. If I want retroarch I'll buy a Raspberry pi 3
I think the same thing. I hope that Cluster, in his new hakchi2, will allow us to choose our folders and use fceux.

Get Visual Studio from Microsoft (it's free!). On Hakchi GitHub select "Clone or Download" -> download ZIP.
Unpack hakchi zip from GitHub and find "hakchi_gui.csproj" click twice, open in Visual Studio.
In Visual Studio, search and select - "Build" -> "Batch Build"
Select "Release" and click "Build"

Done! Trust me, it's easy and quick. I think it's wrong to share unstable builds, wrong to us, to others and to the creator. This could also lead to a spread of the file going online, maybe with erros and bugs and people could begin complaining because of this. And again, it's wrong. Sorry for my words but trust me, it's very easy to do, and folders are working SO GOOOOD!!

Install Visual Studio Community (uncheck the web tools during install to save ~2gb). Download the source zip from Github. Unpack. Open the folder. Open the file hakchi_gui.csproj in Visual Studio. Change build settings to "Release" and then build/compile the project. When finished it will be located under bin>release. Easy peasy.

Edit: Beat by a min or two. :)

Thank you so much, I am now installing Visual Studio Community 2015 and can't wait to get it working!
Of course I will just re-flash everything once the new release is out... :P :D
