hackmii 1.0 was able to install. I've been able to boot gamecube games off of my sd card using usb loader gx which doesn't support wii games so I'm trying to get cfg usb loader to work now.

When I launch a wii game using cfg usb loader I get a ISO Reload Blocked error and the wii freezes, any idea what that could be?

Ok yeah I thought that's what you were referring to. I've already done everything in the 2nd and 3rd part of the guide. Priiloader ran fine and I installed all the WADs using modmii. The homebrew channel still fails to load and so does neogama. I installed Dios Mios and have been able to run gamecube games off of my SD card using usb loader gx. I've been trying to get wii games to run off of the SD card using usb loader cfg but I run into an error when it tries to block brawl from reloading its ios. I've purchased a flash drive off of amazon and am going to give that a shot to run wii games since it seems to be the more commonly used method.

I do not believe brawl need ios reload block. Perhaps disable that in the settings for the game. I do not have any experience loading games from sd, I think you will find more compatibility via usb. I do not believe you need to do anything further to your wii. You could try installing different versions of cios if you desire, they all have their own compatibility issues, but what you have should be good. I would change some settings in your loader, disable the ios reload block, perhaps try a different cios as you have a few to try, these are all found in the loader settings.

Yeah I think I'm in a good position, I have to fiddle around with it some more but it's definitely a lot of progress. I really appreciate your help mauifrog.

According to the homebrew wiki it says that that the minor update to 4.3 didn't affect anything and that letterbomb should work on 4.3.
I'm not doubting what you're saying I'm just curious if anyone else has experienced that. I've tried googling what you're explaining and haven't found anything to confirm it.

On my Wii, I have been having the same problem except it doesn’t freeze in the letterBomb. Instead when you get to the Homebrew channel and press bootmii, it freezes when you go to a game you want to install. Do you think this could be a problem because I have a CD in the CD slot?? Also, I only have a 8g SD card but it seemed to install and send the letterBomb fine. Any suggestions?? I’m kind of stuck here at this point and can’t seem to put a game on my Wii because it keeps on getting stuck.

what you're describing doesn't make sense, and you are replying to a thread that is 7 years old

So you say you launch bootmii from the HBC, and it freezes when you go to a game you want to install... bootmii doesn't allow you to install games. Are you launching neek or something via "bootmii"? Or are you launching a USB-Loader via the HBC? Honestly, I'm so confused by your description, I can't really help you.

When I go to Homebrew channel I can access the Bootmii. After I press bootmii you can go and access things from your SD card. When I try to access a game from my SD and I press on it, it just gets stuck and freezes. The reason I’m uploading so late is because I’m new at thing and just got Homebrew. Hope this helps.

Lol, r u trying to launch a game from the bootmii mini SD launcher?

So basically the best advice I can give u, is forget everything you think you know, and either use modmii or wii.guide. Start from the beginning, don't skip steps, it's OK to repeat installing things u already have

Edit: the bootmii sd launcher will launch mini apps, of which there are few for the wii. You want to make sure your wii is fully softmodded, then launch a usbloader from the hbc (or a forwarder channel), then use the usbloader to launch games saved to usb or sd

okay, thank you. Helps a lot. Lol, I’m very confused on most of this and yes I think the best thing is to start over and redo all steps. Thx, -JustFox
