So, I'm trying to replace the music in FFExplorers with other music. However, when mounting the game in GM9, and exploring the romfs folder, it's just a bunch of files labeled as numbers... there is usually a folder called "sound" or something similar that has the bcstm music files, but no such thing exists here. Just a bunch of numerically-labeled files that seem to be encrypted. No folders within romfs at all.

Has anyone run into this while hacking, and is there some way I could decrypt the RomFS files to see what they are at least? (are they textures, BGM, etc)

EDIT: attached a screenshot of the folder

Clinging onto hope bump - has anyone else taken a stab at modding this game's assets?

According to this thread, the file format is arc/darc

This is really driving me nuts because if you do a bit of googling you'll see that someone somehow managed to undub the game. Someone has cracked these files, but no undub patch exists, so I can't even take a look at what they did to create a patch. :\

I just used fuse-3ds but it shouldn't matter what you use, I'm not sure why you aren't seeing the folders in GM9 should be no reason you aren't, I would check but I don't have the game installed.
