You can't "Hack" the DS firmware/bios/ through a charging input. OMG. This inout has only two contacts for charging and othing else so you can't access something through this.

Maybe the IPOD or sth. had more contacts at the charging input

The ipod's 'charging cable' can communicate with the PC. The DS's charging port is simply power, taht's it. It doesn't interface with the rest of the DS at all.

No.

Technically the DS Phat's power port also contains audio output lines. Good luck using that for data transfer though.

DS? No. The charger port is for charging, and nothing else. As for iPod, well what do you think music is transfered over? Duh.

This thread made me LOL

As I said above, with the DS Phat it can be used for audio output as well if you've got the GBA SP headphone adapter, since the original DS used the same power port and charger as the SP. I've tested it myself, and it can actually output from both the charger port and the headphone port but at a reduced volume level.

This is like... using the computer's power plug to connect to the internet...
I wonder how some people can make out ideas like that? xD

I could hack my cellphone too, but that's because the charting port also serves as a port for the headset, as well as for data transmission. THAT's something completely different... *giggles*

I know. I'm not an idiot. And surprisingly, I can read.

And if you used some common sense, you'd realise I meant the DSi/DSL.
