It's been a while since I messed around with the 3DS scene, just gettin back into it. Trying to hack an O3DS 9.2 fw. Wondering about installing the Mset so I can just go in from the settings menu.

Better yet, you can install themehax and autoboot into CFW on boot.

The instructions are a little bit different for the o3DS but it works for that too, read post #5 for the differences.

Guys while we wait for @mid-kid to update CakeBrah with latest libkhax, here's a rxtools.3dsx to boot rxTools with homemenuhax. It works on both n3ds and o3ds, with the bottom screen working

Install themehax via browserhax ( http://yls8.mtheall.com/3dsbrowserhax.php )
Put homebrew starter kit in your sd card https://smealum.github.io/3ds/
Open the url on 3DS, zoom it and touch the far right side of slider.

For now, rxTools, CakesFW are the most popular CFWs for O3DS.
rxTools provides region-free, GBA VC support (and tons of decryption, dumping, injection tools).
CakesFW is cleaner in code-wise, and more stable than rxTools.

NTR CFW 3 runs on another CFW and it gives us more hacky things.

And themehax allows us to launch homebrew launcher while booting, and it is the fastest way to get CFWs to work.

Devmenu and FBI are equivalent I think..
If you are going to use MSET (settings) exploit, FBI is the best choice since it supports exploit installation.

No. CakeBrah is brahma (enables privileged code execution) which is modified to support CakesFW.
Recently updated CakeBrah supports NH2.

I would use FBI, but every time I try to install something, it fails. I couldn't even use the .3ds version to install the .cia version.

If it's a database issue, again : read the fbi FAQ, it's here for a reason.
(or just use bbm)

128 gb card works with bbm as long as you have less than about 95 gb. If you don't have enough cias to install just put temporary dummy files.

To get your first cia installed just run ninjhax twice and use the 3dsx version of FBI.

Detail:
Run ninjhax 2 via themehax (recommend default hold L to launch version)
Run rxtools launcher .3dsx, bootinto into cfw mode (while holding L so when it resets you launch ninjhax again)
select 3dsx version of FBI.
install a CIA installer
