THIS is why the E-Bay stock plummets. Unfamiliar number? That's your Public Debt, U.S citizens.
All I have to say is, where's our $134.7 billion?

I'd say that compared to the U.S, Canada's in the clear.

http://topforeignstocks.com/wp-content/upl...-vs-US-Debt.png

As you can see, since '96 Canada tried to lower its debt as much as possible while the U.S went all "Ah, f*ck all, we ain't got money, we can just as well spend it".
At the end of the Clinton administration, the US actually tried to pay off their debt. After Bush came in, we all know what happened.
[tnw=600]http://www.whitehouse.gov/sites/default/files/image/debt_chart_wh2.jpg[/tnw]
And it was because of Bush and primarily republican House and Senate that all of the burden has been placed on Obama's shoulders, and it's hard to do that when the leader of the House (with Bush's way of thinking) is trying to out-president the PRESIDENT!!!

If PayPal really did make it temporarily impossible to close your account through their website you bet your ass they are threatened. Anonymous is the single most high profile "hacking group" questioning governments esp. the US, and the idea they should continue to support WikiLeaks by aiding them in conveniently receiving donations is pretty absurd.

If I was going to close my PayPal account it's because THEY ARE CROOKS, not because it has ANYTHING to do with the motives of the groups' call to arms.

The reason they are so strict with proving your identity is to protect the people who sell items, esp expensive items, to people with fishy or unverified identities.

But PayPal is not an actual financial institution (Bank/Credit Union), they aren't insured by the FDIC, and they can lock on your account for any reason if they may suspect you. It happened with the massive influx of donations to the creator of Minecraft, he was robbed of something like 700,000 euros by PayPal putting a lock on his account (he could not withdraw to the bank). Plenty of other horror stories exist but that would be the most recognizable one to our community..

I don't take the "Obama's good and Bush is bad" argument, Bush generated 7 trillions of debt in two terms, Obama generated 1,4 in not even one.

How come both of them generate debt when Clinton, the president everybody makes fun of even today for his affairs and other "funny" bloopers accumulated over 2 trillions?

It doesn't matter if your president is from the South or the North, if he's black, white, red or bloody blue - it has to be a good president and first and foremost, a good economist.

I was speaking from an ignorance of economy standpoint... Idk what the hell you are talking about.

One more thing, that 1.4 trillion that Obama spent that you speak of, the majority of that was from policies and laws that Bush wanted in place after he left the White House.

Also, a big F.U to you, U.S.A. You blew your money off on petty wars in the Middle East, now deal with it. With all my heart I hope that the impossible will happen and that nobody helps you get back on your feet. There should be only one country the U.S should depend on, and it's the U.S itself.

I pray to God Almighty that my Tax money will not go on funding more nonsensical bullcrap of the U.S government, I hope *my* money won't fuel the everyday Joe's need to buy sh*t on credit, I hope that the Colossus on clay legs crushes to the ground with a loud *thump*, maybe it will help your politicians wake the f*ck up, because what they've been doing for the past years is completely inacceptable.

THIS is why the E-Bay stock plummets. Unfamiliar number? That's your Public Debt, U.S citizens.

The estimated population of the United States is 311,012,397, so each citizen's share of this debt is $46,129.78.

The National Debt has continued to increase an average of $3.82 billion per day since September 28, 2007.

Great, just great. Thank God I perfected the Slow Clapping technique. *claps*

Since when did gbatemp become filled with such ignorance? -.- It's sad to see that people actually accept the image and rumors of something than looking deeper into the issue. You think I WANTED this debt? Not only was Bush a terrible president, it's PROVEN he was cheated into the second term. It's the rich (

I really wish this forum had a "like" button. On topic: I don't think this will have much effect on PayPal as a company. Too many people use it and don't care about these groups. If anything if it does change the price of the stock, it might be a good time to buy, because it will only rebound after the media hype.

Obama also increased the money supply by 150% that's lead to 10% real inflation so far and it's likely to lead to hyper inflation if nothing is done and Obama's not going to do anything.

Insults? I haven't insulted you once in the entire reply. It's funny how your approach to this matter is "We did everything we could, if something goes wrong then it means that people scammed us/we're not responsible/it was THEM!". It's also you, you are a part of "them", you are a part of America, and also a part of the problem. Suck it up and grow up.

You're "leaving the thread in a fashionable way" because you damn well know you don't have a come-back. It's called Rage Quitting. Now cry me a river for calling you deluded and immature.

Could you put this in a blog of yours, instead of filling a topic about Hackers calling for PayPal boycott?

You are being hostile. You're also quite a bit off topic so I think you're the worse to claim victory in the argument with your attitude because he chose not to continue the discussion.

UK's in a shit situation, I'm fine because of how I lived before this shit kicked off. US is in a shit situation, you're all screwed because of how some lived while dry humping the majority of you. And you let them screw you like that. I think that is Foxi's point.
