Right now I am working on a little chat application for the HBL called HackChat. Right now it is little more than a keyboard, but I decided to create a thread anyway to keep track of my progress. Screenshot:

Test it out for me if you could. And yes, I am aware that shift doesn't work, it hasn't been implemented yet.
You can better focus on regular sockets, web sockets use a different handshake, and are way more complicated then regular sockets.Apparently, websockets are more complicated than I thought. I haven't given up though, just been plugging away for about 3 days and have nothing to show for it. I can get local network to work, so I might make that an option later on.

a little update: now i have got it submitting and receiving messages finally. websockets are no joke. i finally think the worst is behind me though, check out my crappy little demo (attached) which is connected to this websocket chat: http://protected-river-61287.herokuapp.com/
Fixing now. Good point, i keep accidentally hitting enter twice and sending blank messages. You should add a check to the site. It doesn't check if the value of the name or the message is null/empty.
I'll check it out when I get home.a little update: now i have got it submitting and receiving messages finally. websockets are no joke. i finally think the worst is behind me though, check out my crappy little demo (attached) which is connected to this websocket chat: http://protected-river-61287.herokuapp.com/
fixed EDIT: for the app, not for the website. the website is mostly for debuggingYou should add a check to the site. It doesn't check if the value of the name or the message is null/empty.
In the future could you make a cia version? xDRight now I am working on a little chat application for the HBL called HackChat. Right now it is little more than a keyboard, but I decided to create a thread anyway to keep track of my progress.
UPDATE: v0.8 is here! Now its a functioning chat!
MapleIRC was dead last I checked, and there was no way to switch servers without going into the sd card and editing a text file.Don't forget MapleIRC works, if I remember correctly. They love stupid question on there and you can ask them directly from your 3DS.![]()
Yeah, I wouldn't mind one. I'm not too worried about it, though. I'd only use it to annoy p1ngpong or something.MapleIRC was dead last I checked, and there was no way to switch servers without going into the sd card and editing a text file.
I'd kill for a fully functioning IRC client. It just seems that every time one gets developed to a proof of concept state it dies before becoming feature complete.
I can't install it, SUMMARY_INVALID_ARGUMENT(7).Attached is an attempt at CIA, no guarantees it will work. It would be very helpful if somebody tested this for me, as I am at work.
