Hacking HACDISKMOUNT to get EXFAT without update firmware - bluescreen

I followed the guide to get EXFAT without updating firmware but getting bluescreen after the restore via HACDISKMOUNT.

On FW 3.0 - using BBB of Tiny Barb****.xci to create the file.

Restoring original clears the blue screen. Any ideas please?

Are you on the discord? I would recommend using the firmware files themselves other than a xci...
I had to no such issues with the full firmware zip. If you don't have the discord just google xbins

Blue screen means you borked something, had it happen to me the other day while updating from 3.0.0 to 3.0.1. Had to do a full restore then do the steps I missed.

No matter the tutorial you followed, if you're getting a blue screen you did something wrong.

This ^ make sure you do every step to the letter.

Also, if you are wanting to install AutoRCM, you could follow the update without burning fuses guide and you would still have what? 3 fuses burned(3.0.0) instead of the 6(5.1.0) when updating to latest with that guide.

I really almost recommend going to 3.0.1 without burning fuses. Then you can play smo and the exfat update is incorporated.

Have a 5.02 console and popped in a 128gb card and it said it needs to update to use the card

That slips my mind every single time. That's why others are here to help...

@Dayardie Yea nvm, don't update to 5.1.0 with that method. If you update to 4.0.0 or above, your card reader will no longer work below 4.0.0

Yeah thats the plan upgrade to 3.0.1 so have SMO - with SX OS 1.2 I can do your 1st guide?

I had similar issue, tried to get exFat drivers on my 4.1.0
Used WonderBoy (4.1) and got blue screen
Restored
Used Donkey Kong Tropical Freeze (4.1) and it worked

UPDATE : Worked 3rd 3.0 ROM lucky. Needed Pokk** to work - strange as the other 2 ROMS work but not to do the exFAT patch
