USB Loader GX used to work just fine, but I just noticed that it's crashing to the wii home menu when I try and load a game. My Wii games are on a USB drive formatted FAT32, the same drive that's been working for years across two different Wiis now. The Wii sees the hard drive and shows me all my games. My Gamecube games are working just fine, they are on the SD card. I used to have a different version cios, I believe it was v8, but I just updated to v10 following the wii.guide to try and fix this problem. v10 hasn't fixed my problem. I've tried both USB ports, I've tried fixing the filesystems on my USB and SD. Not sure where else to go here.

I just noticed one strange thing, this is a 1.5TB external drive and GX is reporting "3257092014080.00GB of 6001197" across the bottom of the menu.

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

Nevermind. Something I did along the way fixed it, I guess. One game was still not loading, but per the wii.guide/cios I just forced a different IOS and it works as well. All is good, for now.

Looks like the 250 IOS is missing, you can install it from here, just copy & paste the files on your sd card, launch the program from Homebrew Channel & install that one only.

Or, I also heard that if you use flash memory, it can act as more "RAM" at least windows tell me when I stick a flash drive into it.
  • Veho @ Veho:
It can act as a swap drive but that isn't more RAM, it's slooow.
