Ok, now to answer tinymonkeyt's questions. Recent studies have shown that girls have around the same sexual drive of a man. Women have shown that they masturbate just as much as most men do but women tend to be more discreet about their sexual desires and habits and lie or simply don't tell others about them. Now when it comes to talking about sexual habits, men tend to be more open about them while women tend to be more quiet and reserve. Thats why if you have a lot of female and male friends, the male ones tend to be the ones talking about it more. So in this sense, men seem more hornier than women. Women tend not to share this information or just talk about it in quiet with their close friends while men tend to be more open about their sexual drives.

Yes, hormones do play a large role in this. During through puberty, hormones are running rampant though the persons body and a lot of changes are being done both physically and mentally. During this time, people see a large increase in sexual desire and attraction to people of the opposite sex and even the same sex. One hormone in particular is about 40-60 times produced more in an male body than the female body. This hormone is testosterone and it has been linked to sexual desire among other things. Due to men having much more testosterone than women, men tend to have a larger sexual drive than women, especially during puberty. Also its very common for many women to feel very strong sexual urges days before they begin to menstruate as its the bodies way of telling the female to go find a mate so they can conceive a child.

I dont think guys are more sexually active then female. Its just that this kind of perversions are expected in a male which causes the male the be more open about it. Im sure most women wouldn't say they masturbate or like to have sex considering the incorrect societal term for them would be a "whore."
