You guys never thought thy maybe they use it so people can download more tracks? Like in ALL Guitar Hero games?
Nintendo would NEVER approve a game that has any use of flashcart..I highly doubt they made Guitar Hero compatible with M3 Real to use more tracks..

It wouldn't be a flash cart if GH was on it(ROM?)... I mean like it's on the cart, not the Micro SD. Maybe they're just using an M3 Real so they could get the micro SD and all to work with the real thing when it comes out... Then when they release it, it will say there's micro SD support on the commercial carts (NOT flashcarts)... But that's highly likely not the reason... It wouldn't matter anyways as you would have to by the little GBA controller anyways... And once again it doesn't look like there's a DS Phat version is there...?

it shows them using a dx in there
Heh. You can see the LEDs. BUSTED!.

Give them some slack, it must be easier to use a flashcart then having to rewrite a ds cart for eash software revision.

The game ITSELF could be using the MicroSD, not usage of a flashcart.

Haha...! That would be awesome, except like others have said, I believe that if it supported this feature, they would have supported it as a selling point.

Also, the card in that slot is no doubt blue, and the colors of the GH: On Tour game logos incorporate orange, reds and yellows... So I'm pretty sure we can assume that it's an M3.

If this isn't enough of a proof, I don't know what is....
Look at the two pictures with the cropped hands...They are just one next to the other.....The cart is IDENTICAL in both NDSs....
M3 Reals design of cart is somehow unique with those clips....None of the official games have ever had such design....

Just check the picture...

Acekard 2 also has such clips, but not at those places.

I know that M3 Real isn't the only cart with such design (that's why I wrote somehow unique), but there isn't any official game with design like that, that was my point.....And, the clips are on the same places on both pictures, mine and commercial..
