Well that's lazy and sometimes unlucky people, they also have seed points now, it's SO easy to keep a good ratio or at least a 1:1.

Guitar.Hero.III.Rock.Band.Modified.Wii.iso

This is a modified version of Guitar Hero 3 for the Wii. It includes the 45 tracks
from Rock Band's main setlist as well as 25 songs from a mix of DLC and Bonus tracks.
Disc was tested on NTSC-U Wiis with firmware 3.2U. Chips tested were YAOSM 2.0, YAOSM
3.0 and Wiikey 1.9s. This should work on any modded PAL or NTSC-U Wii but your Wii
must be set to English language to see the new notes. This disc uses the GH3 PAL
gamesave slot so NTSC users will not have their high scores changed. If you don't see
all the songs in Quick Play, enter the unlock all songs cheat code: (YO) (RB) (RO)
(GB) (RY) (YO) (RY) (RB) (GY) (GY) (YB) (YB) (YO) (YO) (YB) (Y) Â (RY) Â (Y) (O).

Game Modes:
Career: Tested, works.
Co-op Career: Tested works.
Quick Play: Tested, works.
Multiplayer Faceoff: Does not work.
Multiplayer Pro-Faceoff: Tested, works.
Multiplayer Battle: Tested, works.
Practice: Does not work.
Online Play: Works partially. Not recommended. Play at your own Risk.
New Boss Battles: Working. The Lou battle has some quirks but is definately playable.

All tracks are playable on all four skill levels and should all have star power.

speaking of Black Cats....... I have Black Cats bookmarked on my Firefox Toolbar for quick access so that I can try to register several times a day. I have been able to fill out my user name, password, e-mail, etc.... twice already, but when I click the confirm button, I'm told that max number of members has been reached. It is very frustrating. I've been trying to become a member for six months or so.

A couple of notes about Rock Band posted on usenet:

1. I think when you reach 100 note streak it says "Fucking Tasty"
2. Rock Band is a lot easier than Guitar Hero. I don't know if they did this intentionally because of the drums but I'd like to think I'm at hard difficulty when playing but it was just too easy playing that on Rock Band so I went to expert and I was still able to complete like 75% of the main set on my first try. Granted, I'm not 5-starring on most of the songs but it is much easier than Guitar Hero III songs.

Yeha when it said "fucking tasty" it made me laugh. I believe its when you get star power, not when you hit 100 notes.

also yeah its pretty damn easy. its a shame somewhat as my mate is a pro at GH but he just seems to ace every song on this near enough 100%. Getting rock band on 360 soon i just hope he dont get bored with how easy it can be.

alright, I want to try this out cause if I can get some custom songs to work I'm gonna buy the guitar.

got some questions right now though, is there still no way to edit the setlists in game or the song names in game?

Also what songs are open to play first? So I can edit it, and then try it out with the wii-remote just to make sure it worked, without having to unlock anything.

The name of the songs and the name of the artist can be edited now.

Only the first tier is available for you to play when you first start the game, you need to unlock the rest of the songs playing the career mode...or using a cheat.

* Cheat Code: YO, RB, RO, GB, RY, YO, RY, RB, GY, GY, YB, YB, YO, YO, YB, Y, R, RY, R, Y, O
* Effect: Unlocks all the songs in quick play.

I got the rock band version of this thats on usenet, and while its entirely awesome, I'm pretty sure its in mono so its not using the fixed version of the game.

I do have a BC account, but that version uses the NTSC save, and I don't want it to mess with my original GH3 save. The Usenet one uses a PAL save, and the BC one uses an NTSC-U save.

Is there anyone who has both discs to check if they're both using the same note charts, or who has RB to check if the usenet one uses the RB notes as well?

@Jayro, I don't see whats so special about the DS ML, its just a DS lite in a phat shell. At least the phat model had louder speakers, whereas the lite has a much better screen.

@BakerMan - you can still "own" digital media, arguably easier and better than physical since you can make copies and backups, as much as you like.

    The issue is DRM
  • cearp @ cearp:
You can buy drm free games / music / ebooks, and if you keep backups of your data (like documents and family photos etc), then you shouldn't lose the game. but with a disk, your toddler could put it in the toaster and there goes your $60

    :rofl2:
