Hacking Question Guide for a noob

Hi All,

I'm not as tech saavy when it comes to Switch hacks/mods, so I'm starting from scratch with the switch.homebrew.guide

I have an unopened Switch with serial XAW1007980... and ismyswitchpatched states that it is "possibly patched
.. try runing the Fusee Gelee exploit on it..."

I'm hoping to play Switch game backups, try some Nintendo emulators, and if possible, run Android. I'm choosing Hekate/Atmosphere just because I've read it has the most features. I have a dragoninjector.

The test payload link doesn't work on ...switch.homebrew.guide/gettingstarted/checkingrcm.

Questions:
1) is that guide the one to use or is there a better/up-to-date one?
2) where can I get a different test payload? Is there another way to test fusee-gelee, and run a payload on it?

The guide is correct and up to date. If the link to the test payload doesn't work, just use Hekate instead as your test payload.
