EDIT: But it's not yet the XVortex jailbreak + HEN paylod. Tomorrow maybe... ^__^

If you have had ever had HEN on 4.05 and have run the UpdateBlocker v1 or v2 payloads before: you must FTP into your PS4 and delete the PS4UPDATE.PUP.net.temp file in the /update folder. Use XVortex FTP payload on 4.05 (included in Al-Azif exploit host below) and use filezilla on PC.

OMFG!! Thank you for this!! I must have formatted three different usb drives and redownloaded the update file 10 times before reading this. I even almost updated to 5.05!! being stupid and frantically rechecking the automatic update box. Had to ftp and delete the PS4update.pup in updates as well as the temp file first. You saved me KiiWii

OMFG!! Thank you for this!! I must have formatted three different usb drives and redownloaded the update file 10 times before reading this. I even almost updated to 5.05!! being stupid and frantically rechecking the automatic update box. Had to ftp and delete the PS4update.pup in updates as well as the temp file first. No worries, use any ftp method to get into it and delete it.

yeah i used moddedwarfare's aio tool to ftp. guessing he'll release a new tool too after some time. the main thing i'm looking forward to is 4.55 game fpkg updates. a lot of the older games probably have been given final updates already

But i'm kind confuse about how to update to 4.55

I alredy downloaded 4.55 PUB etc. But Update option my PS4 ask for internet and after i connect it's says 5.x

I can't find way to update via USB!

How are the chances of something persistent, that doesn't have to be run after every reboot? Or at least something more automated, where you can just open the user manual on your PS4, and everything is set up, without the need to manually send the payload to PS4. I'd love to run backups without the need to boot my PC every time. I think something like an Raspberry Pi with the HEN, or even an Android solution would be great.

Try turn off internet, then turn off ps4, start the ps4 in safe mode:

Hold power on start up until it beeps a second time, choose system update at bottom with usb stick in.

If it doesnt see the stick you need to format it properly or try another usb drive.

Well, why my PS4 ask me for internet when i try "System Software Update" in Settings menu. I don't know.
but forget that i have Crash bandicoot here. I updated my Ps4 Pro from 4.07 to 4.55 to play this game...

So i will go to easy way, update via Disc.

Yes, they need to be fsigned to run on hen.

If not you have to purchase them.

Yeah it was updated. No need for netcat, and has secondary dns set as fall back.

When i setup DNS all i need to do was just that. Not download nothing, not using even PC! Just set DNS and RUN Exploit. That I'm im saying!

+ If you have crashes running payloads then properly reset PS4: hold power for 10-20 seconds to power off, then restart, then [Power] > [Turn Off PS4], then restart again to flush the system and start from scratch.

Al-Azifs exploit host is the weapon of choice IMHO.

Send custom payloads, customise which exploits it hosts, its clean and easy and locally hosted.

The other way: If DNS goes down you cant access it, if internet goes down cant access it.
