maybe wiipower or wiishizza could be invited to help seems they have already got the code needed to make this the best version of the loader it could easily get boxart and region code from wiishizza's loader and this would be the best
smile.gif
hope some brilliant coder here manages to add wiishizzas patched vid so compatibility isnt an issue (because as is its less compatible than most other current loaders) no Video Patch options ect and patch vid is not the same as forced region options
wink.gif

that aside the look of this loader is stunningly clean and i am looking forward to its progression through out the coming weeks

sorry i am not sure what you mean. can you explain that a little more so i can add it to the code.
Boxart is implemented in our newer Version.

EDIT: Do you mean to patch the currently chosen video or patch to the system default video if chosen Patch on in settings? Like make it if Patch On is chosen, no matter what else chosen, patch it to the system default video and if Patch Off to let it like it was with no patching, just let it FORCE Video Mode or if not chosen to force, boot in game default?

QUOTE(raptor1010 @ Apr 17 2009, 05:02 AM) I agree, or they can look at Sorg's version of 1.1 where he uses the default TV mode instead:
"Doesn't attempt to switch TV mode before load game (uses default TV mode instead). Original loader tries to switch TV mode according to game region which makes PAL games unplayable on TV not supporting PAL modes (NTSC-U/J Wii) and NTSC games on TV not supporting NTSC modes (PAL Wii). Now i can play Mario Kart PAL and Wii Chess PAL on my NTSC-U Wii!"

Good idea. In the next release i will implement System Default Video Mode and Disc Default Video Mode ^^.

How would you like something like this as prompt window for the selected game?
Start Game selected:

Back Selected:

i know still needs some cosmetics at the edges... but nobody's perfect

EDIT:
Quick preview of the Settings Menu. Not finished yet.

This loader keeps getting better.. if you make it look like that i will be in awe... You guys are amazing...

Sadly i am just a dabbler in the arts of programing and have NO graphic design, but i will be following and supporting you as a i can. Thanks for sharing your talents with the rest of us.

That's why i post all the previews. If anybody comes up with a good idea that fits into the concept i will try to use it (or not

Hands up for Cyrex

Great seeing you in action!

I like your ideas to make the loader look like the different wii menu pages.
Why don't make it ?

if the cd had the cd coer of the game that would make it awsome.
I have already coded that. I am uploading a video to youtube now.

EDIT>>>>>>>>>>>>

Here it is. The cd images, I just threw together, so they look choppy around the edges. But you get the idea. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v5SEcYKiWAo

It is also easy to make the disk spin faster/ slower if you click things and such. This is just the first runthrough to see if I could make it work.

Dimok or nixx, if you want me to give you the code to make the battery meters or the cd spin, pm me you email address or something. i cannot send pms through this site reliably. I also have skype, if you want to go that route.

let me show you bro

i use wiishizza's loader he can surely help you out with that... (up above he just posted a bit ago) here is a video showing the usefulness of PATCH game option specific games have specific patches that can help compatibility bro
wink.gif
have a look at the option i use when loading Rogue Troopers (a pal only game) on my 3.2U ntsc wii console
wink.gif

(forgive the first two min just showing off a friends animated channels
wink.gif
but watch and you will see me switch the option and play the game on a NTSC
wink.gif
skip to about 1 min and 50 seconds in to where I demonstrate wiishizzas loader...you may also note the option you see in the video before you even press play look at the options there on rogue trooper it says Video:PATCH GAME

ok so i understood it right. I am going to add it to the code. I add one new System Settings point where you can choose between Video Patch ON/OFF. If ON is selected it will patch to your Wii Consoles Default Video Mode (2PAL or 2NTSC) no matter what Video Mode was selected. If OFF is selcted the Video Mode (FORCE) option will be used.

Is that ok? or do you guys have a wish about this in any other way?

@giantpune i write you a pm

sounds good to me. you could just have 3 options, consoles default video mode, force ntsc or force pal

Is there a working version of this yet? I don't want to read though all 41 pages to find a link. The first post should be updated. I've seen alot of pictures and they look awesome but I don't know if those are concepts or if they have been made or what.

thanks, keep up the good work.

My last post contains a working version. Most of the features work, and it is stable. But it's nowhere near completion.

Well we got already the options for Video Mode: Console Default, System Default, FORCE 50PAL, FORCE60PAL, NTSC. These are only force videomode no patch. Patch will be only done to the SystemDefault (PAL/NTSC) no matter what Video Mode is chosen. (i think its makes more sense XD)
Only if Patch is OFF, the Video Mode Force will work.

EDIT: Patch Video is implemented
Can anyone tell me games which dont work on PAL Consoles without patching them to PAL? Maybe one of us has it and can try it out.

@giantpune omg i think i just deleted the pm before reading it. can you send it again please? lol sry

Not to add stuff to it, but my widescreen NTSC screen doesn't quite line up. The buttons for settings and install are to close and i hit both, same for wii menu and close.

ALso they don't quite fit in the screen they push a little to far out... not sure if you want feedback or not. If not let me know, but i thought i would share.
