GTA 6 leaks

I really hope the guy who leaked the full game footage is in China or Russia where you cannot be extradited; and if not, then they should flee to one of those countries before being arrested because Rockstar isn't too kind to these souls, especially with what happened with the last time GTA VI footage got leaked previously. Rockstar is very much screwed, and honestly, with what I've seen from the footage alone, it does not feel like a true GTA game; it feels so generic that it belongs on the Play Store.

I think we all have forgotten one important quote that we should take per granted, and that is to "not judge a book by its cover".

One DMCA means it is all true. Also, with everything at stance, don't you think they will go full bazooka on the leaker?
And I mean, no extradition, no lawsuit, no prison. With everything that depends on this game, I wouldn't be surprised if they hired a hitman or something (doing some GTA shits in real life)

Did he leak GTA6 to promote his cryptocurrency?
.
Why is that anonymous group or person called 'Cyberleek''?
Do you foreigners also have the saying '割韭菜(cutting leeks)'?
“Cutting leeks” – a direct translation that refers to the agricultural act of harvesting Chinese chives (leek‑like plants), which grow back quickly after being cut.

In everyday Chinese, “割韭菜” is a metaphor for exploiting or fleecing a large group of inexperienced, easily influenced people – often in finance, business, or social contexts. The “leeks” are the ordinary, naive participants who are “harvested” repeatedly by those in power.
  • The “leeks” are seen as numerous, easily misled, and resilient – they keep coming back even after being “cut” multiple times.
  • The “cutters” are insiders, big players, or scammers who use information asymmetry, hype, or market manipulation to profit at the expense of the masses.
Common Scenarios
  1. Stock market – Retail investors are lured into buying overpriced stocks or cryptocurrencies, then big players sell off (“pump and dump”), causing prices to crash. The small investors are the “leeks.”
  2. Consumer scams – Overpriced products, fake discounts, or pyramid schemes that target ordinary people.
  3. Online gaming / live‑streaming – Fans are repeatedly coaxed into spending money on virtual gifts or loot boxes with little real value.

Whoever has a leaked copy should port it to PC.
Maybe it is already a PC version, who knows. It supposedly is an older 2023 build of the game after all, a beta. You can't yet run copies on a Series S/X, and if it requires a higher FW, then "cracked" PS5 may not be able to run it either.

State of Leonida mapping project was a pretty amazing effort, but the leakers leaked the entire map (supposedly by taking screenshots inside the game and stitching them together), so that kind of spoils the fun of seeing how far the community manages to get.

Despite that, while memecoins are definitely a... decision that has been made... I support the group's mission. However, I really think that doing even more leaks to prove a point is only going to make things worse. I sincerely doubt that a leak will make the company suddenly decide to start distributing game discs.

Edit: I think Stop Killing Games' response sums it up very well:
https://www.reddit.com/r/StopKillin..._statement_on_the_current_gta_6_footage_leak/

Edit 2: The more I read on this, the more I feel like the leaker presenting themselves as the defender of consumer rights is nothing but virtue signalling for profit, especially after reading what kind of money they're getting...

Did someone say GTA leek?

I've seen some of the footage. The game doesn't look all that spectacular. Maybe that's why Rockstar's stock is tanking.

I wouldn't say "tanking", but it seems all tech stocks are down a little this morning, but most, like Take 2, are back on the rise. They will be fine no matter, presales alone has paid for the games upfront cost of development. I had a chance few years ago to buy some they stock when it was around $150 a share, wish I would of now.
Edit: Currently @

After seeing all the new leaks, I have to disagree. Keeping in mind the game is not released yet (if nothing else, the UI and some animation transitions look temporary/unfinished), almost all of the gameplay was either driving, running or shooting around aimlessly. I can't complain about the visuals (other than TAA), the map really looks vast, and I welcome the gameplay additions. Nobody knows whether the gameplay is better in practice until it's out, obviously :P

I can :ha:
I'm just not seeing the 2 billion dollars they (reportedly) spent on the game. The visuals are fine but even if they do look better than other AAA titles from the last five years or more, I'm just not seeing it. Maybe when the PS6 comes out.

Welp, now anyone who was part of any community they suspected to be involved will have any and all of their information shared to authorities as part of the investigation. What a time to be an Odyssey fan (whatever that is) or a DarkViperAU editor/fan...

Also, as someone else pointed out on GTAF, Microsoft is potentially involved due to having tracking methods like GDID in their operating system. Another big reason to switch to Linux/*BSD.

Some of us was right all along. I watched the footage for myself and it's so generic that you can slap any title on-top and nobody will notice. I think the major hits to Rockstar's development has to be both the union busting scandal and layoffs of the original team. Doesn't really feel the same, and that, in addition to their stock price tanking, means that it's probably going to be review bombed on launch from angry long-time players of the GTA series because it's just not that good.
