So my friend is giving me a free computer, but he says it needs ram and a graphics card. I think 2gb stick of ram should be good, but Im not to up-to-date on my graphics card. Now anyone have an idea on a graphics card I can get that can hold me over til I get a really good one. Reason i say this is because money is an issue at the moment and im sure the best graphics card out there cost a arm and a leg. So any suggestions

Graphics cards in that chart start at $60. You can get cheaper, but it really depends on what you want/need and what your budget is.

FYI, the best graphics cards to date at the AMD HD 6970 and the nVidia GTX 580. As for RAM, there's no real difference between $35 4GB DDR3 RAM and $100 4GB DDR3 RAM.

Yeah, it'd be pretty helpful if we knew at least what motherboard and what power supply where in there, if you can identify such things.
