And also, should be out by now. Same method needed then with Jap version, nothing changed in it except the language.

Yes, if no actual error came up like Error 001, then your laser really must be dirty...but still...I think you should elaborate more.

For example, when you put the disc in the drive, and go to the Disc Channel, do you see the two discs spinning on screen and then suddenly a question mark pops up? If its like that, yes your Wii drive is dirty.

There's nothing stopping you from installing a switch on your Wiikey. I did.
In all honesty, I would rather be playing the game than holding up my computer for 40 hours to dump the game for a bunch of whiney kids. Then uploading this game for 6 more hours to a top-site, then wait a few more hours for it to spread to usenets, then P2P, then etc.

Edit 2: And there's another thing...this is a high profile game. All the dumpers would be rushing to get this one out first cause its 8.5GB and it'll give them a nice portion of ratio on the top-site. But then again, if everyone's going for the same goal, it also stands the highest chance to get nuked to them. (That's just my perspective)

beanman25...your drive is dirty I think...how does your drive perform against regular games and standard burned games? I'm not sure how the OpenWii works that much...but maybe you might want to fiddle with the settings (like the drive speed and turning off region override) if it gives you that option.

Giga...the scene release date for the dump will be March 12th...I can almost sense it.

beanman...be careful when using canned air...if you turn it the wrong way, super cool liquid comes out and can fuck stuff up in the drive (because the Wii is always on and produces heat, so heat + cold = condensation). Use short bursts only.

Giga...if the scene has it like you say, why do you have your panties in such a bunch then? That means it'll be out very soon.

beanman...turn the disc around and check the bottom and check for any imperfections. I have a strange feeling your disc is bad...try it on someone else's Wii and see what happens. I find it very strange how you would be able to get to the title screen but then crash on boot. If your laser was dirty, it should boot the game at least occationally and even at least see an opening screen then crash and give you a disc read error.

there does not seem to be any imperfections on the disc. Maybe worth trying a disc cleaner on? Or trying to clean the lens?

Also if it means anything, the noise comes from the top half. Maybe the lens or something in the way?


Has anyone ever heard this noise?
