Hey, guys! I got a position with a big infrastructure firm as a GIS (Geographic Information Specialist).

Basically, I have to move blueprints through an imaging system on virtual machines. They sync with the field technician's laptop, giving them the schematics for the area they need.

I'm going to be looking for any chance I can to automate the process. If anyone here can recommend a particularly useful collection of Linux bash/python/perl scripts for such a process, let me know.
