Costello... Post in a thread titled "Goodbye". Scared me a second there.

why can't he post?
i mean he's not like the tyrannical ruler of gbatemp and he's a person just like us
i don't get posts like ''costello in the eof! quickly hide!'' or something like that

Because if he posts there then in the "Latest posts" section it would say "Goodbye by Costello", and with all the recent staff farewells it wouldn't be unheard of.

And I see that Devin responded before I did, but Densetsu's the only ninja around here.

i saw goodbye by ifish

I said in the latest posts section, in which it says "by" and then the latest poster.

when i came to the front page it was the time when the last post was ifish's op and i forgot to refresh the page so i still saw by ifish but then the last post became costello's so i didin't understand why he said that since i didn't see by costello and since it wans't the op i though he was scared by costello replying to the thread and then i remembered those posts about sotello so yeah

Speaking of depression, I broke my laptop, so it looks like we're both laptop-less.

And if you get a Windows computer, you will have my respect.

Its half a terabyte bigger and 6.0gb/s. Also has double the cache of the Samsung. It'll work just fine.

A bandwidth of 6Gbit/s (~768MByte/s) is of no importance at all when not even good hard drives can pass a transfer average of 200MByte/s. Hell, most SSDs can't even come close to reaching that bandwidth limit of 6Gbit/s.

Anybody that looks at you should be able to tell that you're not accustomed to manual labor. (no offense intended)
So having you shoveling anything for ten hours outdoors would certainly be more than you're ready to handle on the first day.
If that's what needed to be done, I can understand why they would have you there. Not every job can be done sitting down in the air-conditioning.
But the foreman should have been a bit more understanding.
I'd say it was their way of testing you: Seeing what you wee capable of.
And they found your breaking point.

In an odd coincidence, I also recently quit a job.
I was supposed to package and deliver flyers to 173 different houses each week (for two days) and was only being paid $150. I had to start from 7 in the morning all the way until 7 in the evening. If I didn't finish in time, I wouldn't be paid anything. To make it even worse, I had to make 6 trips back home, fill the shopping cart I was using with more newspapers and go back to delivering. Eventually, I got sick of the low pay and long hours so I quit.

Anyways, I'm sure you'll be much more happier with the computer you're building instead of the MacBook Pro. ;P

Been gathering for a new PC myself - pissed from consoles, and damn these steam sales lol so enticing

my 8800GT died on saturday, got red and green lines, then poof, no more signal

- and then i needed a new PSU, and then i was like meh fuck it - ive been working and studying all summer so far non-stop; i can make what im looking to buy - i5, 460GTX, 4GB RAM DDr3 1600mhz, HDD, PSU and Intel Extreme Mobo, some snazy case. Im limited to www.pcandparts.com since they are the only local website/store (and shipping is out of the question for me considering my country)
