I have joined GBATemp as I am keen to learn more about Switch Hacking. I have SX OS installed on my switch but it seems, at least at the moment, this will not be getting updated. I therefore need to try and look at alternatives and try to understand the differences in each. Any pointers always welcome.

I suggest for now just patch the games to work on lower FW, and not update the Switch. You can use NSCBuilder or renxpack to patch the games to work on lower FW. Good luck and have fun.
