Good gift idea?

So I'm finally going to Hong Kong next february. Mainly for the chinese new year but also mainly for family visit. Anyways, since I'm going to be visiting my little cousin who I hadn't seen for over 2 years, I thought I might get him a present. Seeing as I plan on getting a DS lite from over in Hong Kong, I figured I might as well give him my old phat DS. Would this be an "WHOA AN AWESOME PRESENT FROM MY COUSIN I HADN'T SEEN FOR AGES" or am I just spoiling him? Anyways, if I do go ahead with the DS gift, what would be a good game for a 9 year kid that doesn't require much reading? Figure I might as well buy it from a store in the UK. Now that I think about, the phat DS is a black one. One that wasn't released in the west but then again, it is quite scratched... oh the decisions...

It's in the (long) post. I WAS planning on giving him my M3 CF but I realised he doesn't have a PC. How rare is a black phat DS anyways?
