Broken Sword: The Shadow of the Templars
... Technically an RPG/Adventure game. Based on the PC version from the early days.
It's point-and-click, so it's probably not the kind of Role Playing Game you're searching for, but just in case it is...

To go along the lines of the RPG's mentioned I'd really advise Golden Sun (how can't I) and also Shining Soul ( number 1 ).

I can second Lunar Legend. while it isn't a direct port from Lunar SSS, because of the story change, it is still a very enjoyable rpg. You might also like trying out Sword of Mana.

Any pokemon, I got Ruby because there's a clockfix.
