I'm going today too. I was going to yesterday, but I injured my neck in the weight room. I have no camera, so I'll just post some impressions.

The 3D was not what i was expecting. It doesn't seem invasive at all. 3D movies make my eyes ache breifly at times, like I'm going cross eyed. the 3DS' 3D it's just there, and it works well. What surprised me most of all is that looking into the screen is like looking into real space. Say, you look at your computer screen, then what's behind it goes blurry, right?
Well, if you focus on your haracter, then the background goes slightly out of line, just like real sight.
Little weird, frankly. But not a real hinderance, and it makes sense.

Oh yes, it cartainly does add depth. Does it brilliantly, too. I didn't see a single pop out effect though

The 'sweet spot' for 3D isn't hard to stay in at all.

What I'm impressed by is the build quality. it's about the size of a DS lite, but a touch thicker
It feels heavy and solid.
Nothing feels like it will break, even the SD soor, or any of the switches.

The analog stick works just fine. Frankly it's maybe just a touch loose. Not anything to worry about though. I'd say the D-Pad is a little inconvenient to use, though, being in theower left. It's very clicky too, more so than my DS Phat. Ah well. I get used to it, and it's not mandatory as a real control meathod for anything, really. Even original DS games can use the analog stick.

The slider works perfectly too. I turned off the 3D completely while playing street fighter, and as Capcom said, it applies anti aliasing and such.

The 3D was good though. It did not cause any discomfort to use, and shifting in and out of it was easy.

People have said it's hard to adjust and readjust into the 3D when looking away. Rubbish.

After about 20 minjutes of playing, my eyes did not hurt, nor did my head. But I got that weird feeling with my vision, just like after coming out of a 3D movie.

Tried Street Fighter, was sweet, even though I suck. Mii Maker works, target shooting is cool, face raiders creeped me right out, because I have AS and have a bit of trouble with faces sometimes. Nintendogs is great.

There was this middle aged asian man there using the camera, might have been face raiders, and laughing. "Ah, ha, ha!" he went. It was win.

Also, the Nintendo reps know nothing. I was with one of them while she described the 3DS to a newcomer as a 'DSi, but with a 3D screen'. I had to jump in and correct her.
After I came home, I discussed the 3DS on IM. Those are my parts of the logs. The only thing I am truely disappointed by is what they had at the demo. Come on! Japan had Zelda and stuff!

@Midna

I've played zelda and it was breathtaking

You didn't see a single pop-out effect oo I managed to see a few but I suppose some games don't have them.

That's a shame. I know you had good intentions, but you called her out so badly.

so in my thoghts i give it a 9.5/10

I guess some people have a harder time with the 3D than I did. It really must vary completely, person to person. I had no trouble staying in the sweet spot, adjusting to the 3D, adjusting out of the 3D, and had no aches or anything. Was all easy and painless. I guess you have to try it for your self.

Anyway, yeah. You reminded me of the stylus. The teliscopic bit is pretty awesome, and it's a good enough size, even for my big hands. But hey, I used the original DS stylus and thought it was good enough. it's on the left, which is weird. Maybe Nintendo thought that after years of being given the short end of everything, lefties could use even one small bonus. Weird design choice.

Still can't wait for Zelda.

I pretty much saw 3D instantly too. I tried looking and tilting the 3DS away and the each time when I looked at the screen it was just natural. I don't seem to have a sweet spot as I could see 3D in all positions of the slider so I left it on max.
