Somebody please help me!

After the ship crashes in Laconia, you go to Gazuth's house to stay right....well the wife say she's making something and that I should go look at all the shops. Gazuth (ship captain) himself has disappeared. When I go to the world map, I can only go to the Hermes Temple (been there) and some Abandoned Mine.

Where do I go? I've been stuck here for ages!

I believe you go into the item shop, not the weapon shop, the item shop. Those can easily be confused, just try that out.
