I'm new to the Switch and have BL2 on both the Switch and my PC. I'm trying to copy the Switch save to my PC, then back again. I can't seem to find good info on how to actually do the move. It looks like "Homebrew menu" will allow me to do this but it apparently doesn't work on newer Switches.

So, can someone point me to a simple, up to date guide on how to get the save off my Switch SD card and onto my PC to use the Gibbed editor? A process that will work with current generation Switches?

I'll make this quick for you. There isn't one. You need an older, vulnerable Switch to extract saves (which aren't stored on the Switch's SD card by the way). Only way to do it on a current day Switch is by soldering a mod chip into your Switch which you also can't do because Nintendo got the makers arrested and sued them into oblivion.

When i try to load my switch savegame, i get an error. It says "Failed to load save: invalid SHA1 hash". My PC savegames work.
Is there a way to fix this?

This usually happens if you don't change the savegame type to match the one you're trying to open. There should be a dropdown menu in the open file dialog so just change it from PC to Switch and it should let you load it. PC is selected by default which is why it's working for you for those saves.

Oh, thank you.
Thought i have to load a pc save and change the Savegametype in the editor to load a switch save.

is there a update that allows you to edit the profile data on switch? because the profile data includes golden keys
