Gaming Getting error code 004-1045

I've been trying to download themes from the Theme Shop, and I'm constantly getting error code 004-1045 about 50% of the time. I tried looking up the error code on Nintendo Support, and it said that the system could not connect to the access point, and gave me directions on preventing this problem. I tried connecting my 3DS to my router with the infared literally facing the router's antenna, and I even tried connecting to both my router and my TV's connection, but I couldn't solve this. Any help here? I really need to get my 3DS themes

First of all pointing the infrared thing to your router wont do anything since infrared and radio frequencys are different things. However the error seems to be DNS related, try changing your settings in system settings to Google DNS. Primary: 8.8.8.8 Secondary 8.8.4.4

The DNS works! I'm now able to download multiple themes flawlessly, thank you!
