Lexar's have always been the worst performing of the genuine Pro Duo's, and a 16GB Lexar the moreso. Sandisk all the way, and Ultra II if possible.

If price is no object, sure.

16 or 32, 16 or 32, 16 or 32, 16 or 32, 16 or 32, 16 or 32, 16 or 32, 16 or 32, 16 or 32, 16 or 32, hm. . . .

The PS1 classics I have right now (also on my PS3):

Wild Arms 1 (& 2) [isn't on the PSP @ the moment]
Rayman (1 & 2)
Spyro (1/2/3)
FF 7 - 9 [9 isn't on the PSP @ the moment]
Castlevania: SOTN & Chronicles
MGS [Not on the PSP @ this time]

I do also have:

Uno [isn't on the PSP @ the moment]
Bejewled 2
Tetris
Castlevania: Dracula X Chronciles
Rachet & Clank: Size doesn't matter [isn't on the PSP @ the moment]

If I could fit all that and music on the system in about 16 GB, I'd guess I'd be fine with that.

i think a 32 gig will be good but to test put all those files and games to a folder and check how many gigs are those combined

Let me calculate:
Most PS1 ISOs are about 500MB per disc. This is a ROUGH estimate though - often simple games are smaller and RPGs are bigger. Of course PSN eboots aren't as compressed as custom ones.
Wild Arms: 500MB
Wild Arms 2 (2CD): 1 GB
Rayman: 500MB
Rayman 2: 500MB
FF7 (3x500): 1.5 GB
FF8 (4x500):2 GB
FF9 (4x500): 2 GB
SOTN: 500 MB
Chronicles: (IIRC) 150 MB
MGS: 500 x 2 discs=1 GB
That's about 9.5 GB right there.

PSP minis are around 100 MB
Uno: 100 MB
Bejewled: 100 MB
Tetris: 100 MB

PSP ISOs vary (IIRC these are the sizes of these ones:)

Dracula X Chron: 900 MB
R+C Size Matters: 1.8 GB

Total 3 GB

GRAND TOTAL 12.65 GB

So yeah, 16 may do ya. But rememer it's really 14.9

And look up the official sizes of those games if you can.

I have used real Sony ones and cheap China knock-offs and haven`t noticed any difference in game play. The only difference I see is it takes much longer to load games onto the memory stick using the China ones.

I'm using a 16GB lexar mark2 now and transfers tend to vary based on a few aspects, mainly file size and location.

Transferring a 1.5 GB ISO (crisis core) directly from my hard drive took about two minutes, averaging 7-9 MB a second.

Transferring about 1,000 MAME Emulator ROMs (1 GB) from my DSTWO's class 2 microSD took a half-hour, averaging 20-200KB a second.

But seriously, don't buy a cheap knockoff memstick. My rule of thumb for imitated items is, if the good one AND the knockoff cost more than $5, be sure to get a good one. Still enjoying my knockoff PS2 component cable and awaiting my knockoff PSP ones though. For something that's two bucks versus twenty that literally do the same thing, just go with the $2, I say.

Actually I might get a 32 GB, since I do want all those games I mentioned and probably 5+ GB of music.
