It does. I'm going to try then, thanks. ^^

---EDIT---
GC Backup Launcher will not work with DVD9. Tested it with Waninkoko's cMIOS and Wiigator's cMIOS and both stop reading the disc after a few seconds, finding nothing. The loader even got some strange stuff on-screen (Strange green bars everywhere) with Waninkoko's...

Oh well, too bad! ^^

how do i get games to work in 480p? i tried force 480p on luigi's mansion and super mario sunshine but neither work.. i also tried holding "A" after booting the game and that didn't work either

As long as the games supports 480P you press the “B” button when the game is loading.

Gamesaves are not compatible over different MIOS. I started an FZero game on Waninkoko's MIOS, saved, switched to Wiigator MIOS, and the game no longer "saw" the save, and let me create a new one.

When I would look at the card after this, there were two Fzero saves right next to each other, both with the the date created as 00/01/01.

I deleted the new one, and reinstalled the Wigator MIOS (v8) and was able to access the original save.

Just thought this was interesting and wanted to share.

I have a different issue with F-Zero GX saves. As in, every time I restart the game (NTSC-U version on NTSC-U 3.3U Wii), I'm told the save is corrupt and must be deleted. I've done a few different things--loaded WiiGator's launcher with the a button, with the b button, with the memory card out of the Wii... same result every time. Game runs fine otherwise. Any tips on what might be amiss here? Oh, and it's an official Nintendo GC memory card, 1019. Haven't tried any other GC backups on this Wii yet, either. Thanks to anyone who can help.

Does anybody else have a problem with game saves?
mainly with Loz:WW for me.
the games i've tested are Super Mario Sunshine, Paper Mario: Thousand Year Door, and WindWaker

Mario will only load the saves i have on my mem card if i boot with Patched MIOS (press B) and the same case with Paper Mario.

but Windwaker won't load my saves at all, i've pressed Y to force NTSC, i've used A for auto detect, i've used B for Patched MIOS (disc read error), and i've tried the reloader (start button)
and every time i get the no saves detected error.

i've tried 2 different mem cards, official nintendo and Nyko.

EDIT: i've used all versions of MIOS; v4, v5, and v8
all of them get the same result

i posted this in the wrong thread... Ill post it here now. i used MultiGameISOCreator.exe to create a multi disc of pikman and pikman2. The backup loader reads the disc and pikman1 loads. Did I do something wrong? Why is it not asking me what game i want to play?

Prisoner, I had a look and waninkoko's seems not to have a uninstall option. If using b in wiigators rev1 MIOS is still present but I would like it gone.
So that i may start again with wiigators mios instead of waninkoko's as I have never had gc loading from disc channel but did have the error message on real gc games. Going back to stock mios and using wiigators installer exclusively may yeald different results.
Can you help any further. B

Since there's only one MIOS you can just keep installing enw ones over it and it just overwrites it as if it were a new MIOS. However to get an original back you'll either have to ask someone for it or get it off a Wii game that has it.

Thanx golfman560 I have RVL-mios-v8.wad as I used it installing waninkoko's originaly. If install it with wad manager will that remove wanin's entirely, allowing me to then try wiigators cleanly. B

Can't you just press B in WiiGator's patcher to uninstall it?

I am trying to load a backup of Mario Party 5, which on the compatibility chart says works, but every time I try to load the gc backup launcher I get a green screen that freezes and requires the power button to be pressed to reset the wii. I get the same result using Wiigators miospatcher using 4,5, and 8 as well as Wanikoko's cmios installer. I was using a 3.3U system menu. I tried downgrading through ARC to 3.2U but that didn't seem to make a difference.

I can currently play wii backups made through the same method and on the same media on gamma.

I haven't found anyone saying they were having this same issue yet.

Same thing happens to me, except my wii automatically restarts itself after it displays the green screen for about 1 second. I tried 2 different games on 2 different types of DVD-r's(Sony and Ascent) with Cubivore and Harvest Moon:MM. I'm a total n00b to wii hacking, but everything *seemed* right up until that green screen.
I did the twilight hack, installed the homebrew channel, got both the mIOS and GCloader app to show up in the homebrew channel. Applied the mIOS hack(tried v4 and v8) and the GCloader app displayed the splash screen.
I acquired the backups, decompressed them and changed their file extension to .iso. I then burned them using nero at 4x just to be sure there would be no buffer over run.
Wii is v3.3 and SD card is a 2gig kensington.

Please help me, i keep getting 'failed to read dvd 345' error after launching the loader.
Here are the steps i followed :

I installed the backup loader theta version with the mios patch.
In the readme it said i could use any mios version i like so i took the V4 files and set them in the correct folders on my SD card.

I launch the mios patcher but it says it needs mios v5 ? (what happened to you can use any version?)

Ok so created the v5 folder and put the mios v5 files inside and deleted the v4 folder.
I relaunched the mios patcher, ok now it seems to have succeeded.

Now i have GC backup file (mario kart- double dash) wich is a .gcm file.
I had it checked with a gcm wiper tool and it said the file was ok and not wiped.

Ok so i renamed the extension to .iso and burned it to a DVD-R at 2X speed.
Now i try to load the disc with the backup launcher but it fails with the error 'failed to read DVD 345'.

Have i done anything wrong? Can please someone give tips on what i can try?

Help is much appreciated. Thx
