So, I've stumbled around a bit. A little gooleg here and there, some searching on the site, but no one seems to have a problem close enough to mine where the suggestions given there have worked for me...

So here's the scoop: I can't get my GameCube backups to run, but you probably could've guessed that...

It's been a while since i've messed with the settings of my Wii, or patched anything for that matter, let alone updated. (Currently running 4.1U, by the way.)
So when I heard that I needed a cMIOS, I jumped right on that, and ran cMIOS INstaller Rev3, only to find that I already had it installed...apperantly, at least. Came up with an error, followed by "Installation successful!" So, yay!

Ran Neogamma R7, didn't work.
Ran Gamecube Backup Loader by Wiigator...didn't work.

I looked around the web again, read up some more tutorials, found a MIOS patcher. Gave it a try.
All versions of the installer (v4, v5, and v8) returned a "Bad Hash" after initializing a network, so I guess i'll never know if I have a MIOS up to par to get my GC games up and running, at least through this patcher.

But maybe there's something wrong with the method? I burned the game (Rayman 3) to a Sony DVD-R 4.7 GB, no multiload (I know, waste of space right? Well I figured I'd test with just 1 game for now, and here I am xD), at the lowest supported speed of 4x.
I Don't have a lot of Sony's left, but I do have a few Verbatims (But I'd like to reserve re-burning as a last resort until e know that's the problem)

So here I find myself, once again, at the forums of GBAtemp. You guys haven't let me down just yet, and I was hoping maybe today that reputation can be maintained.

Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

Oh, how I wished that had worked, but unfortunately, it didn't.

Boot > Green Screen > Automatic restart (Wii)
Just like all the other times.

I think I need a working MIOS, but none of the installers work

Currently got the reccomended cIOS rev19, so no problems there...

The installer in the NeoGamma R9 thread should work for you. If not you have some serious problem, it allows to choose which IOS to use, and where to get the MISO from, wifi, sd or usb.

Ahh, Then you're going to love this! (I have some serious problem, i'm thinking. but in the same breath, I'm also thinking i may just be doing something seriously wrong...) The following is an excerpt from another post. Semi-related, but not exactly a "double". Center point is a point of interested.

QUOTEIs cmios_rev3 installer returning an error code, only to turn around and say that it was installed correctly because i already have it installed?
And if so, why are none of my backups loading on any of the GC loaders I have? (Wiigator GC Loader, and NeoGamma R9 b30)

How, exactly, does Wiigator's cMIOS installer work? So far, it asks me which IOS I want to load from (Which one, by the way?), or if I want to skip IOS reloading. no matter which one I choose, it does nothing but tell me that the program can brick my wii (But seriously, what doesn't?). I can leave it for hours, if I want, and nothing will happen. if I press anything, it tells me "Don't be impatient, press any button to exit)
Especially since Wiigator made the GC Loader I'm wishing would work, I'd like to think I can, at the very least, install the cMIOS he designed to work with it. Am I missing a file? Folder? some twisted method that isn't actually the one described in the readme? Teach me how to use this! Please!

And why, for the love of all things holy to us gamers, does MIOS Patcher return a BAD HASH error, no matter what i do to cater to it's needs?

Full details can be found here: http://gbatemp.net/t242140-is-my-wii-reall...-help-me-please
Any help is appreciated ^^

I FOUND AN ANSWER! After hours of pondering the exact same problem I finally found a way to fix the MIOS. What you have to do is use cIOS installer rev 19, do not use 20 or higher if there is one, and I think you can only use the lower ones to maybe 6 but don't take my word. Once you install one of those the MIOS should work just fine. I hope this helped you out and that it worked for you.
